Unfortunately theres quite a bit of interest in it so it looks like it'll be sold fairly soon, sorry about that.

Progress!

Ticking along slowly now, i've completely stripped the interior out of the car, including the complete wiring loom still attached to the dash heh heh.....I wondered if there was any scope to reduce the weight of any of this, but as the loom is a one off specially made for the car and only weighs a couple of kilos at the most I think theres no chance.

I had a quick blast with the nibler too and started cutting out the bulkhead for the full width box i'm planning on welding in.

Also started on the dummy build, now that the pistons are back I have to build the engine and time it all in to check that the clearances I need are there and that the valves won't be hitting the pistons. I plan on squashing some ballistic putty in the valve cutouts and turning the engine over by hand once its all built up, then taking the head back off and seeing whats left! Very time consuming but when you've got 60 thousandths of an inch between the valve and piston and its flying up and down at almost 9000rpm its worth it.....

Got a week off work coming up soon so I can attack it a bit harder too

The moment of truth approaches....half engine is built, just waiting for my brother to bring the dial gauge round so I can time the cams in, measure the clearance, turn it over, and take it all to pieces again to look at the putty in the piston cutouts.....
