Yeeeah, carb problems, should be sorted in a few hours providing this is the solution. I have no pressure in the float chamber, so at idle when the engines vaccuming, it;s sucking air through the jet and in, when i apply any sort of forced induction, it stops fueling as pressurebuilds in the carb. So I need to T Piece into one fo the air lines on the carb-fuel reg and then slap it to the float bowl, Should sort it hopefully!

Timings set and the fueling is set at idle for the minute, it'll be going back soon thou to be re-set up as I'm going to intercool it soon, aswell as a refurbed carb

Runs awesome thanks Craig. Such a improvement over the 998.... >_<

Clutch isn't upto the task but I knew that from day dot. Going to opt for a pre verto setup i think, ultralite fly, lightened back-plate, grey spring and I'm not to sure on the plate yet, probably just a generic fast road plate...

Nope, he had them checked but somethings not right obviously.

Reckons he's going to send the head for a skim and see what compression it comes back at and decide from there.

Had a split oil turbo feed pipe again so I went for a braided replacement. Just got my parcel from minispares with it in and a new fan, plus a 20psi oil pressure switch, forgot to mention the other day I'd checked the oil level, then started it up to see if I had fixed (read as bodged) the leak on the turbo oil feed, left a rag on the slam panel, pulled it in by the fan and it swipped every single blade off the fan! Bugggerations.

Ahh well, Fun day of work tomorow :D

Braided hose is on now and seem's spot on, no leaks etc so it's all good!

Driving to my sisters thou last night in rush hour traffic, stuck in a single lane sliproad the mini just decided to cut out with no warning. Wouldn't start back up either so I jumped out an shoved it to the side of the road (as far as I could seeing as the hard shoulder was only 3 or so foot wide!)

No spark but the coil still had power either side so I put it down to the ignition module, so a new module and it was spot on again! I swapped the coil just for piece of mind too, seemed daft as all the other ignition parts are brand new.

Thought I'd add a picture of one of my favourite purchases on the car so far. So comfy over the old 2" setup

Posted Image

I got fed up with banging my head on the bonnet eveytime I worked on it too, so I've decided to pop it on bonnet pins. So off it came today, I did abit of weight saving too, who need's strength in the bonnet?!?!

Posted Image

Tucked up for the night until I finish the bonnet pins tomorow!

Posted Image

Thought I'd show off one of my christmas presents! My sister had them made by a local printer, I reaaaally like them. There both of my car too!!

All for now folks......
