Engine and subframes out of the car again, Plan of action this time is to pull the engine out, strip the subby and get it painted up again then fit it back in so I can roll the car about etc. Then make a start on taking the interior to bits (again) to fit the bulkhead box!

Looking good Tom, should be a cracking little engine when its done.
Although painting it BMC Green will only give you an extra 25 not 30bhp

Thanks chaps :)

Got the car ready preety much ready for chopping the bulkhead up and fitting the box in.

Decided today aswell I'm going to go with a stripped out interior in the new year too, interior painted a gunmetal colour like on some of the miglia's, ABS 2 piece dahsboard, new harnesses, 3" straps with aircraft buckle.

I'm going to fit a heated windsceen too so I don't have to have the heater back in too. Should be alright for everyday use I suppose....

Built my xpin Minispares diff today, fitted the crownwheel and managed to get a pot joint stuck on it which I can't get off now. Stuck trying to get the bearing inner race off the old diff case too, bloodey pain in the arse.

Really easy to be fair, just a case of being patient with it and not getting ham fisted when it won't go together!

Managed to drift the inner race off the old diff in the end with some boiling water too. Worked really well, An the bulkhead box is going in today ;)

Pictures....

Welded in my bulkhead box today ready for me to clean up and paint before christmas so it can harden properly over christmas an boxing day.

Did the same as Nick (bud666) with the actuator clearing piece, left some of the origional box in then bent that back to meet the nearside of the box. I'm well chuffed with how it turned out

My bleed valve turned up today too from Ebay, blooming nice bit of kit for 15 squid I recon!

After speaking to Steve last night on the phone, engine should hopefully be finished for me to collect on tuesday too. Fitted my Xpin diff yesterday too into the box,

Not alot else happened since my last post, just fetched a few other bits that I needed to finish the build.

Next update will either be a painted up bulkhead, or an engine

Near enough yeah, it seems abit daft now to think I'm going to pull the servo and cylinders out now, but it'll make the job easier to paint etc. Such as life thou, Should get it painted before christmas hopefully
