Right then, just a few pictures I should have uploaded sooner..



One 1293 engine, an worked Benross mild spec head. Not very exciting as far as engine pictures go but it was the only one I took before covering it back up to keep it clean and dust free



Bulkhead comming along nicely, was painted tonight, aswell as the inner wings so that should b done and dusted now

Had a MASSIVE set back when I realised my geearbox was as good as a paper weight, so I set about looking for a replacement..

Chemically cleaned casing, hardened layshafts, cooper S CR gearset, 18 tooth top gear, Center Pick Up, 3.1 Diff should be better then the 3.2 in the turbo box, brand new baulk rings, gaskets, bearings, shafts throughout, new selector forks, rebuilt standard diff with hardened diff pin (No use to me as I'm using my X pin diff in this again, an the speedo drive should match up spot on

Went to fetch it earlier and it's the *man danglies*

Engines all built up minus the water pump and thermostat. Looks awesome

Bulkhead, camera was on the bottle by this point...



Engines 99% done, just need to torque up the flywheel main bolt, fit the wok cover and starter then it's ready to go in. Just got to paint driveshafts, subby and hubs then it can go in!

Copper lines to fit too then it'll be about ready to try and start up

Just got a few other things to fasten back up, then lay the new copper lines and I can think about starting it up then A few other pictures from yesterday...

Did a bit more today...

Wrapped the manifold in asbestos tape..



Refitted the hubs, discs, caliper and flanges..



Then when the wheels where back on she went back up on 4 ramps, so I could fit the downpipe and exhaust system aswell as the gear selectors...



Modded the downpipe clamp to accept the maniflow 2" apposed to the standard 1.7/8"



Plumbing the fuel lines tomorow morning, aswell as a little wiring then it should be all good to get her running hopefully!

Got abit more done over the past few days, Radiators in, fuel pressure regs in, fuel lines are layed, fuel flexy's are in, heaters half fitted, just abit more work tomorow should see that done, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves really..

Right, just thought I'd slap up some pictures of recent work...

Most of it's yesterdays work thou, apart from the interior...

Wheeled her out to clean the garage up a bit...



In good time too, this scared the living *melon* out of me..



Annnyway, quick picture while it was out there...



Fitted the oil pressure gauge, and the engine bays finished now, so here's a finished picture!



Put the dashboard back in today, fitted the bleed valve in there, relocated a few switches up into the desk too..



Just brought a metro turbo fuel pump too, so it should be up and running soon! Just got to fit the pump, then take it to be setup providing it starts alright etc!

It's a runner! Fitted a new 3bar fuel pump yesterday, got that wired in then tried to start it an noticed it firing through the carb, so had a twist on the dizzy and she burst into life! Spent some time tinkering to get it running abit smothley an set it 3k for 20 mins to bed the cam in.

Just got the brakes to bleed, clutch to bleed then get it to the rolling road to be set up then it should be time to enjoy it!

Taa chaps, but it's update time..

Did a spot of bodywork on the rear valance to keep me busy, removed the rust off the rear lip, fiberglassed the old exhaust cut out over then filled a few dent's up. The drivers side lip is way to far gone, so I just took it back as far as I dared then gave it a coat of paint and tidied it up





Mounted the exhaust back up with bobbins and the like, sit's alot better then before,

Solved my fuel starvation problem with a new pump, stuck with the spi tank, but fitted it as a suck through, works brilliant



Fired her up this morning no trouble, drove her out onto the driveway once the oil pressure had risen...



Fitted the new stainless bumpers, re-fitted the grille, gave the engine a clean up, then put it back in the garage until tomorrow when she's off to the rollers to be setup properly

Well I've text him a couple times today and no reply so Im guessing he either killed it on the way or on the way back from the set-up. And now he's sat in it crying on his driveway.
