Been a busy day today! Came back from holiday last night and got home at 10.30 after a 3.30-4 hour drive, I was itching to get working on the Mini!

Woke up this morning, drove don to my dads buisness and picked u a big heafty Mini Sport package that was there for me. Came home and cracked on!



Got my 7.5" Cooper S set up on a bled it



Fitted my MK1 rear lights, wired them up and my god how they look soooo good



Then got onto the manifold, inlet and air filter. Don't think I've ever been so frustrated in my life then when I was trying to fit that exhaust manifold, it just didn't want to go past the subframe, got it sorted and what not thou



Thought I'd fit my new shiney Revo's while I was on a roll, man, it looks so damn good. Can't wait to get it on the road!

Tomorows jobs are to fit my exhaust, grille, lights, and indicators and get it running again. Going to order an AAU needle on monday too. aswell as some trim for the side. Should be going for its MOT mid week-ish if all goes well,

Exhaust's on, interiors in, most of the paint is buffed up.

Gonna tackle the headlights and grille this afternoon after F1 and dinner. Then with the exception of buying some new numberplates, its MOT time!


Definatley be on the road for Mini In The Park. Hope so, having no car sucks ass.

Lights are in, steering wheels on, exhausts on, been playing around with the electrics half the afternoon because someone butchered them to fit foglamps >

Cheers Dave, you did a number on that wiring loom for the lights thou didnt you!? Jeeeeesus its in a bad state, Theres a random constant livein there you just left bare!! lol

Been working on it again today, should'nt be long before its on the road hopefully!





Fitted my bonnet today, checking the gaps and trying my hardest to get it nice all round, made a bracket for my rear fog lamp and my fitted number plates.

Put a new battery in today and started it up aswell, sounds sooooo soooo awsome, pops thou on revs? possibley the fact its not been adjusted to suit the new manifold and filter?? pisses water out the top hose on the head, but a new gasket should sort that.

The lights are bugging me too. When we started today, the side lights worked, head lamps and main beams all worked, faffed about most of the night to no avail, theres no power anywhwere in the circuit for the indicators :S. and to top it off the headlights stopped working. Anyone shed any light? Checked all the fuses, the flasher unit seems fine?

MOT on wednesday too, going to ask if they'll sort my lights out as my dad and I got to frustrated with them as we cant see ANYTHING wrong.

Do your hazards work? if not then it could well be the switch itself (i took on apart, sanded the contacts that the wires connect to (but on the inside) and put the switch back together and it worked, but could also be the inline fuse for the indicators (im guessing yours has one being a J reg).

Nah, nothing works with the indicators, same for the hazards, Bit annoyed really as they worked yesterday! Hmmm.

yeah, sounds like a dodgy switch, worth a try taking it apart and cleaning it or just swapping it for another one that is good.
Also inline fuse contacts can be iffy and are helped with a clean/sand.

I'll have a look at that today, got a few more things to do before tomorow, my fuel tank is letting fuel out (think its a loose hose) and it needs the fuelling setting up, its getting to much air with the stage 1 kit I think, it runs fine with the choke out a fair way, but it pops on revs when theres no choke...

Need to cable tie my main wire to the front subby as thats hanging down, other then that its getting there!

Check your reverse light switch feed hasnt melted the the exhaust and clean your fuse box up as thats a comon one
