ok finally after taking a few days off uni i came back home to finish my engine build and to change everything over!
It took 5 hard days of work but i finall got the new pads in, caliper bolts changed, brakes bled, rose jointed bottom arms on and set up, the tie bar bushes changed.
The the finished building the engine and painting the bay.
Then came to starting it which was a disaster... the catr started first time and disdnt even take half a crank of the new battery, but one it was running there was smoke, not just a little smoke buit alot it managed to fill my front garden. straight away i had the sinking feeling that it was the oil ring that id changed from snapping the original. after taking out the plugs there was oil over the plug in this cylinder and later taking off the head showed this. So hopfully in 2-3 wereks time i shall b sterippuing the engine again and changin all over the rings, re-lubing the cam with cam lube(i only used oil b4 and the engine had run for less than 1 minute) and while its apart ive decided to change the cluch friction flate for a turbo one and change the head gasket from an AF460 to a BK450... its so frustrating but as its my first engine build im leanring the hard way but at the same time just keep added more and more new bits
