some cool tattoos here..

Ive been thinking about getting a tattoo for a little while but one thing that came into my mind was what happens if you put on/lose weight? would the skin stretch and then make the tattoo look deformed?

I think you would have to grow alot for it to become deformed.

yeah i guess so,

your tattoo looks cool how long did it take?

Was thinking of having it on the front of my left shoulder, not sure what of yet though.

ya you would have to grow a good amount for it to be deformed. The secret is to get them in areas that are unlikely to stretch.

The skin is sensitive on the inside of your arm so yes it will hurt like a *woman of ill repute* :D

to be honest if you want randomers to come up with something to adorn your body for the rest of your life you probably shouldn't have a tattoo...

I agree with Minili here, if you don't know what you want, don't get one done.

Tattoo's are not a decision to be made lightly. Only get one done because you want it to done for you and the design means somethin, not because your mates have got one or to join the crowd!!

I had my first tattoo at 16 because I just wanted one, stupid mistake and I'm just lucky I still like it now and it didn't deform!!

Im not doin it because Ive got mates that have one, infact I dont think any of my mates have one.
But if I see something I like then whats the problem with that? Tats dont ALL have to have a meaning behind them..
Thinking of getting writing, in english or chinese but the word/words have not been decided yet!!!

Whats the age to get a tattoo done? pretty sure its 18 isnt it??

If you re-read what I have put then you will understnd what I am getting at. Don't get a tattoo on the random off chance you see something and like it because chances are give a few years, you'll hate it/be bored of it/etc

Remember its there for life!!

Yes the legal age for tattooing is 18, and most of the time a tattooist who will ink underage kids is not a good one to go to >_<

No, tattoos do not have to have a meaning as such (mine are pretty random to be honest - stars, faerie, and angel) but they are still worth thinking about!

If you want ideas a good website to see for inspiration (but don't just copy someone else's!) is bmezine. Please note not all photos on this site are family friendly!

But thats not to say you couldn't easily lie and get them done underage..
I know of *thinks* 4 or 5 tattooists who have willingly said they will do mine.. >_<
Which reminds me, il get mum to take a photo and upload it :P

Yeah but didn't one of yours go manky? Relevant or not, I really don't think illegal tattooing should be promoted.

It did, but we later found out it was my fault and was using the wrong cream on it.. which was re-done free of charge >_<

I'm not trying to promote it, im just stating that its not impossible to get it done underage.. I will say though to make sure you really want what your having done.. All of mine have been drawn by me and all have a meaning..

Thats my chest peice currently being worked on, as you can see its not neat and both sides need touching up alot.. After my operation il be drawing up a center piece for the rainbows to go into..
the reason they fade where they do is to leave open options for what i want in the middle, the idea is to have them extended to ideal length once i know what i want doing :P

i have been thinking of getting a tattoo now for a long time i have been waiting for the right idea to show its self and i want to wait until i have had my gastric bypass operation so that the tattoo doesn't change shape but i now have the image i want

Attached File  tattoo001.jpg   98.64K   12 downloads

i wanted something to do with my son my first thoughts were a picture of him on my arm but this one was drawn of him last year whilst he was 3 years old and it is a picture of me (he says) and i think i am going to have it on my chest near my heart
