That looks really nice :tumble:. I'd love a tattoo but I'm only just about to turn 17. Allot of my friends had theirs done by people they know as their not 18 yet either.

I really really want a couple tattoo's done but im such a wimp :)

we went to a tattoo place the other day and i know what i want, its just gettin it done...

I would like: (haha like a shopping list lol)

* a chinese symbol on the inside of my wrist meaning Mum - in memory of my amazing mum who passed away last year. A really simple line drawing of it - not a thick symbol... just summin simple yet effective...

* a butterfly on my hip - representing freedom

* and one of the ones like u see most girls have on the bottom of ur back just above where ur jeans finish...

BUT - all in places where its bound to hurt :P

My boyfriend wants to get a sleeve of Tribal down his arm/shoulder, and on him sumwhere the Liverpool FC logo...

Mite be getting them done for the summer....depends if i have the guts to or not on the day lol

I had one done a few years ago - it was done by hand as opposed to a regular needle machine (I don't know the technical name for it!) which was a really relaxing way to have it done. I've also got it made up as a decal that I have on both sides of my Mini. I'll try and find a pic somewhere...

Some people i been talking to said its a quite 'relaxing pain'. Still unsure though... :)

That's the only one I have so I can't compare it to the handheld machine ones, but I found it quite gentle. It was like plucking your skin with the needle as opposed to sticking it in, and and no point did it make me jump or anything. I got it done in an amazing studio in Brighton and the guy had a seperate room (it wasn't dodgy!) that was all covered in Buddhist themed art and stuff so it was really chilled out. I've had a needle phobia since before I can remember so it was a big thing for me to do, but I loved it and wanted another one the second I walked out! Also, the good thing about a hand done tattoo is it doesn't scab over or require as much aftercare as a normal machine one.

Definitely a relaxing pain.

The only one thats "hurt" is the very bottom of the one on the side of my leg.
