I went into six chinese places first to ask what it said / meant before I had it done ( without telling what it should say ).... just in case they said it meant " chicken fried rice, peas and chips ! " and they all confirmed it was right. So was happy.
Nice work!

I like the sound of that!
Might have to give the place a bell to see if they have some of this spray (yes, I am a *lady garden*)
Never really thought of that!

I would want it over the arch of my foot not the sole (!-ouch). hmm yeh might get a tiny one done and see how it goes then it can always be added to later if I could take the pain! not quite sure what I want yet.... I suppose it'd be better to get done in the summer so I can wear flipflops and leave it uncovered for a few days to heal?
yeh i have on my left foot two butterflies that go over the top, and then on my right i have cherryblossoms in the same area as the left, i got both done in the summer, and the best thing was that i could wear foot wear that doesnt need socks so they healed real quick, just make sure you keep it moist othewise it could go dry and the colour doesnt come out the best, but i love wearing mine with flip-flops always cheers me up. if unsure always start litle and add

(hope it helps a lil )
how long did yours take to heal up? do you think it would matter if I had to cover mine up? I could keep it uncovered for a max of four days but due to work I have to have covered feet! just got to decide what I want for my first tiny one now....

He did mine, nearly 7 years ago now.. (Thats scary) and its not faded, become patchy or anything in, anyway... unlike my other mates, tat, he got his done by the one on Whitecross road, opposite Steels. His is faded and mis-coloured.. and hes gone to Scotty for a touch up on his.
Also, the lass at The Ink Pad, is really helpful and informative! She had a look at my scar on my wrist to see if it can be tattoo'd over, and it can etc

a little more detail (sorry very bad quality...) really doens't do the colours justice! Done over a year ago and the colours are still as vibrant as ever

The symbol at the top is a basque symbol was done way before the lillys were done.
Done in Tribal Urge, Southsea, Portsmouth
One of a few tats.... (i just don't have pictures of the others.)

wow, never heard of a numbing agent being used before. That would actually be kind of nice, though my wife likes the needle prick sensation.
i like the sensation, it can be painful but in a different way, i love it, the sound the gun makes and the feeling, it can get a bit sore though... the bit i dont like is when it gets itchy...

I agree! The 'pain' is part of the experience of getting tattooed and personally I enjoy the whole experience. IMO, if you can't stand the minimal pain to get something that should mean a lot to you and will be on you for the rest of your life, you shouldn't be getting tattooed!! The majority of tattooists I know, refuse to use that numbing spray stuff.
Here's my two tats:

Anyway, anyone off to brighton tattoo convention next weekend?
