although if the float is stuck in the bowl it could be the carb over flow

thats a good point,
will have to look at that.

its got a crappy Mini Carb, and rubbish Exhaust Inlet on it.
will change it all when Im free and have the time to do it.

But for the next few months need to run it in, and make sure its ok.

but this petrol problem.
I thought if I had farted... I would have gone up in flames!

Luckly... Got a fire extinuisher (cant spell it) in the back.

but yea. I know what you mean, I need to find where the problem is.
really hard to drive with that much smell of petrol.

its like having the petrol tank in the centre of the car. (with it open)

but its not petrol being burned. its the smell from being put in the car.


so it must be a problem before it gets to the carb.... I look anyway tomorrow,

its not raining. however.... its bloody cold!

today, must go buy a new speedo cable.
sort my petrol problem out.
and try to fix my reverse lights....

well...

some progress today
went out to buy a new speedo cable.
one store had one... wrong kind, (and was really short!)
second store didnt have one...

so guess thats no speedo for the week. (untill I go buy one, or order one)

Found my petrol problem! after looking in my boot to find a REALLY STRONG SMELL
or petrol, looked under my spare wheel, and battery...

to find about 1 Litres worth of petrol rolling around in my boot.
Turned out... the bloke who did the mini.

Didnt have the rubber grommet on the right way round, (where the petrol sensor is)
so took it off, and turned it other way

so far so good.
still running a little rough.

But really needs my RC40 on there.
as the carb, manifold, and exhaust system is rather C**p!

have a nice one I put on my other mini. so might take it all off.
And when I do that, might take off my dashboard to put my 3clock one in.
