Bit cold to be out in the garage today. Was supposed to been away but got delayed so had a play with the grille. Cut out the holes and just need a little more taking out for the lamps to fit right.

Got the subframe of today to see about the rust by the subframe mounts. Will have to get new panels in there as the rust is quite bad. Didn't realise how heavy the subframe is. Is there much work to fix a beam axle or is it a pretty simple fit?? Gonna have a search around and see what i can find about them.

That doesn't look too bad, nothing that a welder and a bit of sheet metal won't sort out. Just hope you get it sorted in time for the riv run. Plus i want to borrow you welder when i do my front end.

The grill is looking good though, something really different with those spots in.

Got back from being away at 2 this morning. Woken up at 9 for this. Yay

K still not welded but i dropped it down onto the subby to do a bit of work as I couldn't move it out the garage to do it before. Have fitted the front arches (again a nightmare as the quality was poor oh so poor) but got there in the end. Had a trial fit of the grille and lights to see if they fitted alright. The grille has been stripped and clean and looks brand new which is nice. Am doing a clean up on the fuel tank at the mo so more pics to follow. Would be near enough spraying this week but am waiting for my mate to do the subby mount welding so delayed again.

Got the welding done today. All good. Now when i get some time off work I'll get the roll cage fitted and it's final touches and prep for spray Have added a bit to the wings too as there was a little gap. Coming out quite good. Might not get it ready for the rolling road at the pitstop, Brize on the 5th though as the guy helping me is away Gutted as it was gonna be the first show of the new paint but never mind as the next goal is get it ready for the riv run and L2B. Yay, well done mate. If you want any help putting her back together let me know. Post in the S.M.A.C section maybe other swindonite can help to. Would be good to have it ready for the pitstop.

Dam thing is still not there. Got the cage in but not fitted yet. Need to get my arse in gear. All that is left is drill and weld in the cage, clean up el roofo then should b ready. The guy who's helping me spary has gone away for a few days so haven't set a date for spray. I'm not gonna get the car to the rolling road sesh but will still turn up. You taking the lady or is the seat free for me on the day

WAs a good day at the rolling road. Got me motivated to finish my car. The cage is all good to be fit after spray. Got the plates welded in and gave it a coat of bitumin to seal it all up. Gonna be a real push to get it ready for the riv run.
