It's bright green, so I'm guessing its just oil.

well if it as a 'rainbow' effect then it is just oil

And.. I've got no oil pressure :P

oh dear, i had that on engine no2 and that went :xxx: but as long as you don't drive it, it won't need replacing, just replacing some parts.

I don't want to drive it at the mo, anyway - because i've got a worn subby mount, I think - so there's nice clunks coming by my feet!

GRRR!!

i think the oil is coming from the timing cover

yeah that'll probably be the rubber mount that bolt through the firewall/floor pan. only a ten minute job to change, and only costs a few quid.

i think the oil is coming from the timing cover

yeah that woud make sence if it's coming from the right hand side of the engine.

I dunno when I've got time to do it. I think it's gonna have to be Saturday >_<

But Wednesday, Reggie's gotta be up at the bodyshop, as he's having the crack in the paint looked at. I'm gonna see if they'll come down to my house, as I'm just round the corner (They said that would when I'm ready for them to take a look at Ronnie, anyway).

If not, god knows!! I'm not gonna risk driving him at the mo.. even though he NEEDS to go on a run, so I can check the oil pressure.

But to be honest, I'm really nervous about taking him anywhere :) As I don't want the oil pressure to hit 0 again :P

humm, i do understand your concerns :) it would be better if they do come to your house.

but you don't have to drive it to check the pressure >_< just crank it over, and just build the revs up to a steady 3000-4000rpm and keep an eye on the guage.

thing is tho - he would only lose pressure once he'd been on a run, and then the revs drop and the pressure would plummet.

He was sitting on mikes drive idling OK and when i took him for a quick spin, the pressure was fine... but it was just on the way home after travelling at 55mph ish. At 55 mph, I've got decent pressure... but then when i slow for junctions etc, he dies. Every single time.

ive got my drive, which is about a quarter mile... but its so full of crappy potholes and stuff, that you've gotta take it at about 5mph, or its bye-bye exhaust! >_<

Good thought though, but no can do :)
