Have you only become aware of this since he got his new clocks? I guess he didn't have a pressure gauge before?

he did used to stall a fair bit, when the revs dropped etc. But I thought that was just a dodgy idle or something, so I didnt really think much of it, to be honest.

Then we installed these gauges and they seem to be working fine... as it reads 50 ish on general driving. It then plummets and then he stalls.

I've checked the idle and he's OK.

I noticed the other day that the vaccuum pipe wasn't actually connected... so I've put that back :) But I'm sure it was connected fine before the other day, when we were doing the speedo drive and oil pressure lines...

This is why I want to take him on a drive, to see if it was the vaccuum pipe that was the problem... >_<

Hmm. It might be really hard to stop that from splitting, Best they can do is to add flexy addative into the paint when its mixed, that will give it the right properties for the job, but even then it might still split, its just one of those things.

I had my whole front end fitted and painted, had the scuttle seams tigerselaed etc, with flexy addative added into the paint, and its still cracked on the scuttle. Its just one of those things that will always crack no matter what.

I was talking to Kris (nightflier), and he said something about a sealant called Sikkaflex (sp?) - He spoke to the guys at the bodyshop he's gonna use and they said that they should use that.

Oh, and for ChrissyB..... I checked for those metal plates inside the wing and they are there :)

Yeah, sixa flex will just sit into the seam, but the paint ontop will still need to flex with the sikaflex enough for it to not crack.
