Drained the cooling system and taken the radiator out! I've also sanded down and primed the radiator housing. Will give it another coat of primer tomorrow... then the next day will be a sand and a paint in satin black.

Didn't really get much time today, only an hour or so - so haven't done alot.

But I did find this, resting on the front subframe, hidden behind the radiator... :geek:

Well, I visited the bodyshop today, and they said that as soon as he's back on his wheels and driveable, they'll sort out the crack!

They're going to put some of that flexible sealer in the seams! :teehee:

Took the old doorcards out, today - As I've sold the old interior to yorkshirechris! :D

Having seen the state of Ronnie (my other mini), at the bottom of the rear bins... I was a bit apprehensive - you never know what's lurking :dontgetit:

Anyway ... I took the lining out of the bottom of the bins and found.... :dontgetit:

NOTHING! ;D

Lots of that gluey stuff and lots of dust - but other than that ... absolutely perfect! :xxx:

And I took the ones off the doors too - and they're pretty much perfect too! :D They're the original doors! :(

Very happy!

The interior is looking a bit of a mess now though - I've got no dash and no doorcards :dozing:

Although - I've found some MDF, so I might make some of my own doorcards as a temporary thing - because I cant afford a set of proper ones at the moment! :techsupport:

ooh, yeh - that would be quite good stuff... quite lightweight, too - if you were into that kinda thing! :techsupport:

How much does it bend though? because the rear ones have a curve to them :D

And yesh - I'm gonna make up a template from the old ones, before I take 'em aalll the way up to Leeds, tomorrow! ;D

You're driving to Leeds !!!

Yep Correx flexes enough 'n comes in various thickneses - it's the same stuff they use for estate agent boards. It doesn't look bad as it is but you could cover it.

Dad's driving up to Leeds, yeah ;D Cheaper than a courier, lol :D

I'll see how much this thin MDF stuff is in the shops - If the plasticy stuff is cheaper, I'll definitely take a look at that! :D cheers effel!
