Well i can officially say this car has been sent to test me... today involved getting it ouf ot the garage, taking the inner wing off to patch the inner bit and realising that i cant patch it without removing the door and the panel is that thin there is no point in patching it as there is not enough metal to do so.

Now the new plan... well i dont know but it may up removing the floor and doing that before the front end.... needs careful thinking about now.

Looking good so far.

I wouldn't chop anything else of until you have got some metal welded back in.

You're earlier alignment problems are probably due to the shell moving about whilst the front end is of. If you start on the floors now, the shell will never go back together right.

The shell was fully braced with the front end off. It couldnt move. The alignment issues were due to the crease in the panel, as soon as i removed the damaged area the panels fitted right.

The problem i have is i cant weld the front end on without replacing the a post as they have gone and the doors are welded on. Im just thinking about the best way of getting through this problem at the moment.

sooo.. do you have any more pics of the inner wings going on? im getting ready to weld mine up and i need another vantage point to look at.. just to be sure... also i am running into the door/a panel gap problem.. only on one side tho. is there a fix that youve found for this yet? im thinking of bending the hinge where it "c"'s to shrink the gap alittle. i can stick my pinkey in the bottom and its perfect on top... anyways, any pics would be great.

Also plans for how the estate will look have changed again :withstupid: You will have to wait and see how they unfold again.
