Slammed quite a lot on steels (got some ally cat Rallye specials to go on)
Satin blue respray and a few other CC'd bits n bobs
Seats out of a Scirocco (they match the genesis interior already in but are more hugging and sit lower)
Still nowhere near finished though, got a load of plans for BH2N 2010
Including a Engine conversion.

How its looking now:

Some work ive been doing

The plan with the wheels was to polish the face and paint the inner bits. However i grew to dislike the wheels on MK3 polos so im just painting um up and selling on now.
Going to be painting another set of the BBS that I'm currently on in a nice metallic silver.
Picking up a GT engine conversion on sat
Slowly being buying loads of little bits n bobs for the car since BH2N 2009.
Chassis braces, poly ARB mounts, VW11 calipers (to run vented discs) Various different wheels and several other things.
Should be on a whole different level for Germany this year

Shame i no longer own a mini

One day I will have another though, once you've had the mini bug theres no getting rid. I'm just waiting having fun with other cars until the time comes for me to get the car that started the love for minis, a van. The dream of owning a supercharged a-series van will never die

My mate had one, and to be fair, I wasn't expecting a lot, but it certanly shot itself along.
Good luck.

I am one of those ubiquitous polo and mini owners
I have a mk3 polo G40 which i love to bits, all standard. Has done 120K miles and still feels like new, gotta love VW engineering!

I'll unveil pictures of the conversion now been as I'm no longer doing the BH2N run

Its nearly finished, few problems (water leaking, brakes a bit iffy, need to sort gear selector out) but other than that it seems ok. Runs ok.
Anyway, pictures

GT rear beam (with ARB) and fuel tank painted and re-fitted. Braided hoses half fitted

Engine out

Cleaned

GT engine re-built, cleaned and painted. dropped in the bay

Kinda together

The leak... and a pic of the G-laderseit ARB's and the GED's brace bar

Brakes have been upgraded to G40 calipers with vented and grooved discs. Standard pads and braided hoses (same as the rear)
Freshly re-built caliper. sandblasted, painted, all new seals and bleed nipples etc

And one of it next to my mates G

Been as im still having problems and im skint its giving me chance to do loads of other odd jobs. More things in the bay will be going orange and blue and ill give some of the black stuff a good clean up.
Got my new BBS to go on (re-painted but its top secret) once i have tires fitted
Should be done in a couple of weeks though and I'll get some better, more complete pics up
