Rip it out then put it back. Then at least you know that all the wiring is right. Once the garage is free you wont need the alarm aswell. Hows the conservatory coming along anyway?

When I get another full day I'll go out and see if I can spot something, only reason I came back in was because it was getting dark, not because I came to a dead end! =]

& It's getting there, well I think the builders are nearly finished, garage door should be coming soonish but I think the deadline is next month or the month after.

great progress there mate and ur clocks are lovely :proud:

Centre Binnacle's look the nuts in my opinion so id definetely be going for it. Should be able to find a nice cheap one at Bingley, although i managed to find the most expensive with the extras it had :proud: Scary thinking that it will a year next week since i bought the binnacle and im still no closer to fitting it =]

Wish i could help with the wiring but there just colours to me.

If the garage gets finished before your MOT then ya mayswell take it off the road and sort the flip front out and the alarm at the same time. Then once the flip front is on and you know it will pass the MOT, get it tested :proud:.

Yeah I hope I find a good one at Bingley! I'm sure there will be one, that'll be another job to fit that but I don't mind, well worth it with the final look!

& Andrew I haven't got all the parts yet :proud: that's the problem, I'm gonna have to wait until the end of February to buy the panels and then I've gotta find time to do it all.. need my Dad as well and his mate with the welder, so it could be another few months until I sort the flip front out.

For now I'm purely concentrating on the MOT on February the 18th =].

Yeah that'd be helpful! Did you get the loom from Mini Spares?

Nice one, where are you gonna apply yours?

I'm actually feeling pretty confident about the MOT.. but I'm not getting my hopes up, not really sure what exactly but I'm sure something will pop up! My worst fear is rust within 30cm of a structural point..

I know this is a bit naughty but couldn't you cover the underside of the car in underseal to try and hide it?

I think I'd rather give it an honest run through! that way I can get a list of things that need attention & I can sort them out, I'm not dependent on it being on the road so it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Do you know anyone who does MOT's? They might be able to tell you what you need to replace without you having to fork out 40 big ones.
