Yep I hope so, should definitely be back on the road by then & in full force ;) Birmingham isn't too much of a trek for me either, any luck with finding a mini yet? ^_^

Another convoy?! :genius:

Yes yes yes! It'll probably be my last Mini show in a while, I'll be headed to Uni the month after & I promise I'll say hello this time :P

You better do! :P

Everyone seemed to ignore me at the last convoy, I kept saying hello to people but just getting funny looks! :shifty: Then my mini club left me ;)

Looks like you've had plenty of goodys! Are you putting them in straight away, or waiting until you've done all the bodywork?

I'll put them in straight away.. well, clean them up as best I can and wire them in, I've got a bloke waiting for my 3 gauges, but I don't want to rush with it. Still need a dash liner & tray.. haven't really found Bert helpful though.. :shifty:

& my bodywork won't be starting for another month, maybe even 2.. Just waiting on the builders finishing & then I can use the garage & start work.

How come? :genius:

How long are you hoping to take doing the bodywork?

Just hasn't replied to any off my messages :) I'll try again in a bit, I'm sure he's just busy!

Pfft.. :genius:

I haven't got a clue.. Time, space, getting a welder & knowing what to do is a problem, it'll be money ;) I only work 11 hours a week so I have to limit myself, but I am doing as many other little jobs as possible to earn money, I'll see how it goes :shifty:

Hmmm, maybe he'll get back to you soon, although he normally gets back to me quite quickly....:genius:

Suppose if your doing all the work yourself, the only cost will be the bits. :shifty:

Try leaving something on his Doorcards topic, he's usually pretty quick to respond.

Binnacle looks very nice, definetely the best option in that mini of yours. Where did you get the loom from and if you dont mind how much?

Cheers

Where did you get your flip front from bud? There's a mini i've been looking at that needs a new front end and might just chop it off and flip it :) lol.

Cheers buddy, I got the wiring loom from the same bloke who sold me the Binnacle, but it's brand new from a chap called 'Jupitus' off here.

& he's replied to my message, trying to sort out if I can get some custom holes cut for my speakers ;).

good luck :xxx:

Cheers Jono! I think it's going to look fantastic.

Flip front was from TDK Andrew, about 130 I think including delivering, 98 if you can go and pick it up yourself ;)

That's the plan :) everything is falling into place, once this binnacle is in with the new dash liner & tray I'll be pretty happy with the interior for now, maybe take little bits out and repaint them like the handbrake lever & gear stick because they are both flaking.

But thanks all

Yeah it's going to look mint :) & I'll actually be able to see the gauges without looking over/under the steering wheel!

If you go up & look at the series of pictures I took, 4th one down of the Temp & Oil gauges, the Oil has a 15cm long thick metal wire coming out of it.. what am I supposed to do with this?

You'll want to be connecting this to the engine lol

Basically you'll need an adapter for the block, that is just a double ended threaded boss, that goes where the electrical sender is currently, just above the dizzy

Then you'll need a new block-to-gauge pipe, you can get a metal one, but i'd get a plastic one as then you can route it much easier, and wont have to bend it yourself

Look minispares, they'll have the bits you need
