Yeah I forgot to do that earlier, it's only sitting there over night but tomorrow I'll stick some tissue in there.

Cheers!

Nice one, didn't want any grit and stuff getting blown up where the exhaust used to be and knacking the bores. What are you gunna be doing to the engine anyway? Anything special?

Hmm.. nothing special for now, just a good revamp in general, replacing & replacing bits around the engine bay. I'll buy an RC40 exhaust system at a later date when I'm ready for it, so that'll give me a 998 with a Stage 1 kit and I can get it proper rolling roaded and tuned up :( but for now I'm just generally focusing on bodywork and the appearance of things, I might however after that buy another 998cc unit and sort it out with a new cam, head etc.. and then drop it in when I'm done with it.

Chatting to a bloke on here about swapping my Servo braking unit for his Non Servo set up :P which will free up a nice big gap under the bonnet, make braking a bit more of a task but I'll get used to it.

You mayswell get a 1275 in if you are going to buy another engine mate. Mind you the modded 998 would be nice and revvy - sound awesome.

That's why I want to keep the 998 :P I hardly do any motorways miles so it's mainly country lanes, towns and villages. Small poky revs are perfect :(

998 it is lol. I've got a 12 mile run to my work and a good 10 miles of it are motorways so i kinda need the 1275 for comfort lol. Never thought i'd be buying a mini for comfort lol. Mind you i'm fairly sure it will be more comfortable than my bike. Saddle looks like a "female pleasuring device" lol. You watch i'll get a warning for that lol

I've never looked into twins to be honest, I heard they don't really make a difference, not sure if its true though :( .

Just had a read through that, being discussed only yesterday! seems they do make a different, plus they look bloody gorgeous! and they aren't that expensive!

Yeh definitely get some twins on it. More torque, smoother lower down and better throttle response.

Get some cheap of the bay and refurb them. Thats what i'm going to do to mine.

looking smart! speaking from experience I would fit a single HIF38. Brilliant carb, perfect for a 998. Twins look pretty, but trust me, they are NOT worth the hassle! I dont think they make enough of a difference to be worth it, anyway.
