Yeah they are in really good condition actually, can't wait to get them back all nice and clean! re-building will be a walk in the park compared to stripping
Famous last words there bud lol.
Black, black and black
I've no idea what colour I want the shell yet so black will work with anything.. Dad thinks silver but it'll show up dirt & rust easily, plus like I said I've no idea what colour the shell will be.. was contemplating getting some bits sprayed in BRG though.. engine brackets and such, I'll separate the bits tomorrow morning which I'd like doing, all depends how much extra it'll cost.
Would be a nice detail like, if you got some different coloured brackets.

Think that's okay for sandblasting & powdercoating..? not too sure myself.
I'll definitely think about getting bits sprayed in BRG, would be a really nice touch. Oohh subframe mounts! they'd look smart.

They aren't cheap so I won't risk anything!

Subframe mounts I would definetely get done, I got mine done red as you saw, nice feature to pick up when looking under the arch.
Putting back together is much more nerve wrecking you are trying to avoid chipping it, ive got a couple of chips already and ive got to strip and rebuild again!
Big box of bits to get done, cheap if your getting all that done for £80

I'm going to take extra special care, nice clean working environment, take my time!

I suspect the final bill with be around £100.. he did say they charge £25 per hour, so we'll see, but if they do a decent job it'll be well worth it, make such a difference to the build. A big stepping stone I feel.

My thoughts exactly when I got mine done as it meant I could put it back together to go to spray. Happy Days! Even though you technically havent done anything (although your bank will say otherwise haha) you feel youve achieved alot by seeing something of yours painted.
Can't wait to see another update, I cant really do anything till the shell is gone as that is when I plan to sort out, hopefully by next weekend now

Laid all the parts out, so I can make a note that I've got everything back.
Minus, rear sub-frame brackets & shrouds (i'll be getting negative camber brackets & the shrouds are only 6 quid each to replace) & handbrake quadrants, current ones are quite mashed up and wonky, got my eyes on a nice set from Minispares

This morning went really well.. he's going to phone me up on Monday and tell me how much I'm looking at to pay, got a feeling it's going to be a lot more than £80! and he's also going to phone me up and let me know if they've got BRG 'on tap' if they haven't then I'll just be going with black, as it's something like £200 to order in a box of colour.
Waiting time.. around 3-4 weeks, which means I can crack on with the engine & start practicing welding.
Oh and I saw 3 minis, 2 campervans, fiat 500 & a morris minor on the way back

Haven't got time to upload photos!
