It'll all be coming together shortly :dontgetit:

Totally undecided with the colour at the moment, that's waaay down the line anyway so I'll worry about that then.

Ok, finally read it through from start to end!

Very impressed... I am currently 'working' on my 91 Mainstream Cooper in BRG.... already have the exact same hinges as you it turns out. Subframe is off and am currently removing the front end. Getting my front end from ABS too.
Then I just have to gut it and get new APanels, Scuttle, Closing panels and inner arches on.
Am going with a 1380 turbo lump though, - the interior is pretty much pristine so I am loathe to remove it, but I shall see.

I am also doing bits to my 1293 Clubman GT in Satin Black. Currently has a Weber 45, 1.5:1 Roller tip rockers, SW10 cam and duplex chain plus a 'stage 4 head'. More engine work will happen after I have put the KAD 6pot front disks plus minifins on and once I have sorted the suspension :/

The lists seem endless :D

Oh wow, from start to finish, 95 pages!

Sounds like our builds are quite similar with the bodywork, engine wise I think you'd beat me down the quarter mile ;)

I'll see if you've got a project page, if not you should start one :D

You'll beat me on completion date though lol!!

I started a project page ages ago wtih my old mini, but work got in the way of everything and I ended up having to quit on that unfortunately :D

I think you'll find the colour or colour scheme you eventually pick will reflect your personality. Thats why mine is planned to be black with an orange roof, it pretty much screams my name .

I want something classic.. a nice old classic colour.. sage green, light blue, grey.. could do with finding some old sales adverts from back in the day and seeing what colours are called what and there codes.

Does need to work with BMC green though!

Working in the garage at the moment, just cleaning things up, sorting things out, generally lolling around listening to nat king cole :proud:

MITP next sunday, so excited  will take plenty of photos and pick up lots of picks. Keeping my eye out for period second hand bits.

Boring update.. but spoke to John Whiteman Engineering this morning, wanted to know how the bits were coming along and most importantly a price.

I've decided to get everything sprayed black, unless someone else wants something doing in BMC green.. it'll cost me 40 quid for that small box of parts to be sprayed in colour, but if someone else wants BMC then a lot less.

In total I'm being charged 85 quid, that's sandblasting and powdercoating of two subframes and 25+ assorted bits! all in black. He wants me to ring back this coming Friday just so I can find out where bits are at, but by the end of this week things should've been blasted.

I can't recommend this place enough!
