Didn't realise how much fuel this new engine drinks....or that my fuel gauge isn't working properly, whoops!! Ran out of fuel today whilst going for a run out thankfully only a mile or so from home so got towed back and topped up with fuel and alls good haha!

Took the oppurtunity of having it out in the light(ish) to take a couple of piccies:

Cheers dude...been looking at the pic of it and rekon I want to put the front bumper back on! (To be fair I only cut the lip off to sort out the rust on the front valance properly) Especially since its going to have 4 spots sticking out of the grill so will need the bumper there to break the step out to the spots a bit!! When I can be arsed to get the welder out i'll put some tabs on the valance to mount the bumper to!

Not done anything on this for the past couple of weeks!! Snow melted today so I took it out. Nearly finished the Spot brackets now.

Got a rear cage to put in now aswell, but gonna cut out the rear seats and sort out rust thats in the bottom of the bins so might just enjoy driving it for a bit before I start butchering!

I'm also after some fixed rear windows as i'm now getting rid of the back seats for good so don't see the need for opening ones. Would be interesting in swapping for the opening type i've got atm! Anyone got anything?

The upper two are cibie super oscars and the lowers are wipac hair raisers (really would like a set of cibie oscars instead but thats just 'cause i'm a tart and like everything to match!!)

Really losing patience with this car now though think the head gasket went whilst having a run around in it today (was running a dream until it just started spluttering everywhere and dieing with lovely milky cack coming out the breathers!)

Haven't had the effort to go back and look at it properly cause i've had enough of working on cars this week!!

Wasn't the head gasket!!! Checked the compression and all cylinders are fine!!

Turns out the coil was on its way out which gave similar problems to a failed head gasket (spluttering under load).

Not quite sure why the timing case breather was letting out the tell tale head gasket milky stuff as the rockers, header and sump were all clean. Not sure if it could be down to condensation or the mist that was around yesterday getting in the breather??

Sorting the interior out this weekend. I've got a cage to go in so started by cutting out the rear seats and bins (mainly because theres rust in there that needs sorting and I coudn't be doing with trying to weld in plates/cut out rusty metal in that tiny bit of space!!) Decided i'm jus going to tidy up the floors and give them a quick coat of paint (cheaper than new carpet!)

Need to tidy up the bits of metal left that were attached to the bins and weld in my roll cage spreader plates then paint it up and fit the cage!!

Decided now I really don't have rear seats i'm going to solid mount my bucket seats, I can then get them lower aswell!

Need a new screen now aswell....spec of metal managed to get past my shodily put up blanket gaurding the screen and crack it (was toughened) good excuse to go to a laminated screen aswell now then!
