Ive done a total strip down of my carb this evening after cleaning the carb up yestday afternoon and polishing the dash pot and the carb itself.
I fitted myself a carb service kit and then took my time putting it back together (ok i missed bits out and had to strip it down again) but i got there in the end.

The carb all stripped down

Now i know these parts came from the carb but where?
I attched the carb to my new alloy inlet manifold and then proceded to fit my K&N filter to it once i had fitted my new needle and twin red springs.

Ah back together at last

I also picked up yet more new items i bought from work (will the spending ever stop i hear you ask?), these include a new steering wheel, a set of sparco pedals, a new shiney wiper motor and a few other odds and sods...oh and thank you to a very kind man (yes you steven) i now have a rear seat which i can strip of the old seat cover and fit my tailor made cobra one which matches my front seats.

Nice new pedal covers, one of the jobs for tomorrow night....

The pedals all fitted with the new Alloy covers

The pedals reattached to the pedal box.
And i also stripped the rear seat which was given to me by steven (Big_ears) and i procceded to fit my cobra seat covers which match my front ones.

The rear seat base with the new cover fitted (slight crease which will drop out after being warmed slightly)

Close up of the orange stitching detail.
Also my mirrors turned up today from Demon Tweeks, must say im rather impressed with them for the price of them, they ar F1 style mirrors in carbon look.

The overall shape of the mirrors

The carbon look on the back

The shell looks great! Just one thing - if you're planning for it to last why put oversills on?
Oh and stainless bolts in the cage - I'd use high tensile steel, stainless is quite brittle
It should bolt together really quickly - you definately seem to have got all the parts!
Thanks very much fella the reason why ive put extended sills on is because the standard sills normally fill up with water and road dirt along the edge where its not sat flush with the body and this is where rot usually starts on them, and even though the car had been off the road for 3 years the sills were in a bad state along the edges when worked started on them.
I did think about high tensile but dont they rust?So my idea was to use stainless so i would still be able to remove the cage with ease if needs be later on down the line.
Yeah should go together rather quickly, been picking my brain literally everyday at work thinking 'Ive got this but i need this and that still'
