Hi all, first off I would like to wish you all a happy new year. This is just a small update, the engine bay is nearly finished, hopefully have her running in the next few weeks and then off to paint.

Just read your thread from start to finish and wanted to say thanks. You've given me a lot of inspiration for my own project and raised the bar a lot higher! Really impressed with the preparation and the thought you've put into this. That engine looks gorgeous.

I picked up a Domino HT last year which is in running order, but could definitely do with a makeover. My plans for it are a little different as I'm going to replace the tired 1275 engine with a couple of electric motors. I've started a thread here: http://www.theminifo...x...=111265&hl=

The Domino is definitely a little quirky, but I'm growing to love it as it seems very well built. It's a real pleasure when you're working on it to wipe away the grime with a rag and reveal smooth clean plastic rather than rust.

One question: I noticed a couple of pages back you'd got hold of some black trim lining that looks very like the original mini lining. Can you tell me where you got it? I'm looking for something similar, ideally in green.

Cheers
Malcolm

the carb looks like its not vertical which means the folat will cut of the fuel before the bowl is full ,can run a a angle front to back as can change float hight but not side to side, the base should really be paralel to the ground

you have to check the float hight on the kits you can by beause the carbs normally run at a slight angle on a standrad manifold but not when running on a super charger kit
