Britain = a genetically diverse population of surprisingly talented, but self-deprocating moaners.
well said. I'm all for getting off my arse and changing something if I'm fed up with it. As for recession, it's the nature of capitalism.
Most of you saying 'it's going to the dogs' would just love it if it did. So then you could say 'told you so'. This attitude isn't constructive in any situation (there's always a moaner in a team) and you've got nothing to gain from adopting it, apart from making yourself sad and depressed
I think you'll find most people who say "its gone to the dogs" (which is an increasing number of people) are doing and have been trying to change things via the ballot box for years, with no joy. A lot of people, especially hardworking taxpayers have given up on changing things because none of the main political parties offer any sort of radical change to the current situation.
Call it "non-constructive" but there isn't another option, unfortunately the majority of society admittedly including myself would rather save up money and emigrate/move away from the situation than put in an effort which might, but most likely will not, make any difference.
