I may be overdoing it, perhaps just lie in wait and do them in so they dont steal again. Stamped hands ...???
or put some gauze into you filler neck as stated before.
Bastrds!!

See its things like this that make me think the government should let us use air rifles to protect are property. would make the
think twice before doing it again
its non leathel force, so i cant see why its not acceptable, aslong as you dont go for headshots, that really would screw some1 up!

I think you need some cameras or something, you could set something up like the police do when they put a satnav in a car and a camera facing the window. Apart from you need a camera facing you fuel cap.
Have they done any damage?

Nope, no damage, just broken and stolen my fuel cap again

I have a hand held camera that I tried to set up in my living room window, but all my windows steam up at night so it can see anything

Dont know any way of making it any more secure either apart from relocating it inside the car.

I dunno what to do, was going to get a security light put up outside, but got told it was a bad idea as it would be flashing on and off all the time like a disco, doh
I dont think moving the tank filler neck is an option really, far to complex for moi
Sigh...

Security light - slight deterrant, and unless you mount it within 2-3m of the pavement it won't keep going off when everyone walks by. Though cats, foxes, etc do set them off. I know when I lived in Manchester EVERYONE had a security light, didn't really affect the crimes figures that much...
Camera system - only going to be that effective if you're able to get a high quality system and mount it in such a way that you get a clear view of the thieves face. Otherwise you're only going to get film of a body stood at your car emptying your tank, which is next to useless.
Alarm - Get a decent system that has a exterior sensor, ie. one of those that can sense when someone is really close to the car, gives a couple of warning beeps then sets the alarm off.

Get something like this to put in your boot and look for something nasty to fit in place of the real tank. I'd think you could find a filler neck to fit the hole in a scrappers, then all you need to figure is how to make it explode 1/2 a litre of food dye when the cap's removed.
