Ahh yeah best to get it done once and the first time proper rather than not being happy with areas.

As for the superfins.....the rear on a mini is able to use 10" wheels no matte whatt drums you're running, just the front thats the issue

Haha your kid in the first shot looks like a real bossy lad O_O , watch out...quality inspecter's are about to rate your work haha im sure he'l be taking charge of the mini soon >_<

I've already told him he can have this mini and I will do another one for his brother. It seemed to work on the wife when I told her this so now there is no comeback when another mini turns up for rebuild because her saying " Awww how cute" is a green light in my eyes lol

Cheers fella very kind of you. Well as for the deadline I hear you mate. To me bodywork and paint is the hardest and most time consuming part. I've got all the bit to build up the front and rear subframes so I know they could be done and on within a weekend. As for the engine build well that's a different matter lol. I'm off to NYC in sept and I'm trying to find out from the airline if they will let me put the 7 port head in baggage. I've been intouch with the company that make them and there 3hrs north of NYC, still in the state of New York and they can get the head to the hotel for me and its less than £800

Cheers fella, it means a lot. If I remember rightly wasn't you sold the wrong donuts or something? Heidi has disappeared of the face of the earth. The last time I saw her she was driving off in her mini with smoke bellowing out of the window, I thought she had an electrical fire but it turned out to be her old holburn roll up ciggy lol.

I have no name for the car so if you have any suggestions please mention.

Hopefully more pictures tomorrow mate. So so glad your enjoying reading it.

Fella thank you. It really does mean a lot. It's hard going at times, some days I can be in the garage only an hour or so and I'm exhausted. Mental fatigue is horrible. Still it's all good fun at the end of the day and I can't think of better therapy and my pshycologist says the same lol

You're right on the brakes, the CV's & swivel hubs are the same. Though the "nose" of the late hubs can sometimes foul inside the disc, cured with a file or grinder though

That's a serious pair of scissors to cut that  :ohno:

Just a quick video.

If you a mini purest then I suggest you don't watch.

Photos to follow later, there's still a lot to do gap wise and getting it opening smoother but slowly getting there.

Shell is completely in etch primer now so it's going to be weeks and weeks of putting filler on, sanding down, filler on again, sanding down......You get the idea untill all panels a dent free, smooth, straight and true!
