Its working D,
Looks the dog's dog parts that dave, really is a smart job there, the noise of metal is quite good too as fibre int very appealing in my opinion haha
So how does it lock down ? i see you're doing something at the a panel seam but im buggered as to how or what it is haha either way thats a complement as there are no visual differences as to were its locking point is or that it even flips in the firt place!
Congrats buddy ;)
Cheers
Cliff

Excellent work, Pretty much the same repairs I've had to do on mine. Are you going to have a mk1 boot lid? you can get panels that can be welded in to make your mk3 to mk1. The flip front looks like it works a treat. Well done

Nothing major the wings pinch in a little at the top near the scuttle but that's because I pulled the bonnet to wing gaps right in and I e not got any catches under the wing just tabs and am going to put a thin rubber strip in the wing a panel join to stop paint damage. I will be using two stage internal release catches at the front so it will have a bonnet pull and latch from a Volvo truck side locker

Having a good clear up in the garage tomorrow before the big fill and sand, fill and sand begins!
Still plenty of work to do on the gaps!
Any thoughts, criticism etc?

Always happy to help with anything fella. The hammerite has been in there now well over 6 month so should be cured nicely, so it will get a good keying then on with the stone chip then base coat and lacquer
