:D

If I buy the rear panel and valance and then give them to him to weld on and pull out the crease. I could do the rest myself, I.e painting and fitting the rest of the boot etc... That would bring the cost down a little :(

the two panels for minie come to around the 600 quid mark, but they are full panels, you could probably get away with half hight panels

I thought the same, but it's best that i get the FULL rear back panel asembley, will see what i can pick up at Himley Hall :- I think its about £200 for a genuine full rear panel

Ill have to check, but i bought a new set and never installed them before i removed the dizzy.
If i can find them, and if they are the right ones then you can have them.

Have you tried giving the contacts a bit of a sand though?

It's got a mind of its own right now! :D It used to spark on the old weak set of points, but now Ive replaced the points its not sparkin at all, used the feeler guages to set the points at 35. Recommended by Haynes manual, but its decided it doesnt like it at all, the engine is sound just not sparkin up, new coil/condensor maybe? Im going to have a dig at it tonight to try start it up. :-

Had a guy from the bodyshop to come have a look at the Mini for me today, he said that it looks worse on the pictures and could be done, one problem is that it needs to go on the jig to be pulled out, but where can the clamps of the jig fix to? Needs to be a flat very strong and supportive place, any ideas? Thought about on the side of the sills, in the hole that is about 1 1/2 inches deep, maybe strut a pole into that and fix it, also wrap a truck strap harness thingy :D around the front subframe to keep it down and in place (as crude as it sounds!) as the Mini is going to be under alot of pressure on the jig, as the Mini almost becomes part of the jig. Any suggestions as to where to fix the clamps of the jig to the Mini? It has to be a strong supported place to under go quite a bit of pressure, with out damaging the Mini.

:D

Shouldn't the people that own the jig know how to do it?
