Looking good, another thing to tick off the list.

Take a look at this, I know its for fitting electric windows, but in the last picture i noticed a solenoid for central locking. Thought it may help!! ;)

EDIT: forgot to include the LINK!! lol

Oh right, thanks for the link, I see what your looking at:

Seems like the simplist idea I've ever seen ;D, I'm sure it works though, but I would like to be able to fit a door card back on when I'm done :D .

I have found some good pictures from the original Rover alarm and central locking kit:

You can see where it will go onto the lock and how to fasten it down. And:

Here you can see how the soleniod set up is, with the arm attatched to them, so I'll probably follow something like this, it gives full instructions too on the website: LINK

But thanks for the link :- .

Project looks fantastic, if you haven't already I would suggest de-burring the holes in the door, I had to put electric windows in a 65 mustang once and afterwards my hands had their own variation of zebra print ;D

Ahh cheers, think I might secure mine so the bottle sits on the boot floor to take the weight of the water & then use No More Nails or something.

Yer, would it be strong enough? It does weigh quite a bit when they are full and 'No More Nails' might not be able to take it?

My washer bottle is different to yours anyway, so it wouldn't sit as well as I thought.. could you see if it fits in the rear bins for me mate?

So had a bit of time today to do a bit of work on the mini. So I decided to get cracking on the front end, and I decided against filling in the tiny imperfections, as I could have made most of it worse than it already was. So I started with sanding it down with 1500 grit wet and dry:

And after I clean all the left over rubbish it came up really smooth, and I was really pleased with how it came up :dozing: .

And then came the time to mask up:

Posted Image

And then came doom or gloom, it was time to apply the black :dozing: , I was so prepared for this, but I felt really sick, and:

It looks fudging great :dozing: , all I need to do now is just smooth off the masking line, polish off the surrounding paint, and laquar, and it will look great :D .
