And its looking good now . I'm having to get some new bearings one of them was nakered before I started, and another seems a bit 'gritty' and I need a centre oil pick up and a gasket set, so I might get them ordered tonight . But on the hole the last few days have gone pretty well .

Just a big thanks to James really, done a lot for me over the past few days and it couldn't have been done without him, cheers mate .

Mate how did you get it that clean what did you use?

I first cleaned it down with some Swarfega (?) parts degreaser I got from Halfords, it was £7 for a big tub. I just used it neat with a few of Mums washing up pads , you know the ones that are slightly rough on one side, and thats how I got it like that. But then I pressure washed it, to make sure anything else that could come off did, and it came up really good .

Well that was another nice tip I got from that DVD . Thats good, I might need some help .

So today was the day I finally picked up the block and crank from MED . I'm just going to let the pictures do all the talking , so here is the block:

And the new cam bearings:





I love it all , the work is top class, can't fault any of it, and highly recommend them , and I'm definatly going to deal with them again .

Oh and also here is a list of the work done:

The block:

• +40thou bore
• 31mm pockets
• Reface
• New cam bearings

The crank:

• Regrind
• Heat treatment
• Balance

The lot for £280 , I'm very happy with that .

Haha wish I could, need to wait until next pay day, a week today , and then a deposit for a head goes down, and a cam kit will be purchased, from none other than MED .

Getting a standard 1275 head from turbo phil to go on it, and not sure what cam yet, either a 256 cam or you can get special turbo cams from MED, like James (1275 SPRITE) has. Will ring MED and see what they think would be best .

I'm not sure to be honest, Steve at MED is really good with his information and will tell you whats best, etc, but that probabl why their stuff is so good, because he knows what is best .

the cam I got is probably too wild for a supercharged engine really, plus they have to be made to order (pretty sure),

Haven't been on in a while,

I now have to have the buggy built for my target of april next year when some more regulations on getting it road legal change against my favour
