both bumpers are on and so are the sill strips, (after they have to be cut down to size!!)

then dash is all back together

alarm is working as it should do (well it will as soon as i earth the siren!!!)
the plan for tomorrow is to bleed thru the brakes and clutch , fit the interior light, and fit the bonnet catch and spring and adjust it

and the problem is behind the petrol tank
so out with the petrol tank tomorrow to sort that out,
any way

i cleaned up the front footwell and stick in the sound proffing

then put the heater back in
and fitted the interior light

also in my lunch i sewed the fittings to the upright sections of the seat covers, so they are ready to go back on!!, i'll try and do the base fittings tomorrow, but they take longer to do, stupid things, i hate doing them!!
then tomorrow evening, finish off fitting the heater, (probably get dad to sort the brake lights and take the fuel tank out) the put the rest of the sound proofing and carpet down
i've really gotta write a list of things that need doing!!!

Did I see you in the congested traffic at the Exeter/Westpoint/Service part of the M5 this afternoon?
It was me that whipped down the exit.
I only caught a glimpse in my rear view and I thought it was you.

if all goes well its off to bristol next weekend
if not well.....
so day one!!!
started like this

yeaterday we put the wheels on and made the break light work, the wire has broken some where between thro the body/roofline, so we had no choice but to run a wire tho the car, i;m so annoyed at this as is a really last miute and nasty thing to do!!, but the good news is we managed to route is so that is can't be seen!!
so anyway
they work and thats what is important
i fitted the sound proofing and found my missing bit of carpet (it was in the bag with the rest of the carpet  )

and carpet fully fitted

then i flatted down and polished up the door we had repainted
then fit the chrome grille surround - i got it from Mini spares for about £30, and it has to be worth every penny, the cheap set from shows are about half the price, but it took me a hour to fit on the of the grille ends... these just dropped up, i would recommend the minispares kit to anyone!!!

and fitted the high level brake light - genuine!!

then dad adjusted and bleed the clutch (after finding that the union from the cooper line to the flexi was wrong and leaking), so then we fired up the engine to test the clutch, put the pertol in i had got the other day, pulled the choke out, turned the key.... Bah, the power line hasn't been connected propery to the battery as i had one of the crimp on connectors. so we wire the power cable in propery, then dad said give that a go, i turned the key and it started and run perfectly before he could get the to the front of the car!!! LOVE IT
but i thought it was running to fast so i turned it off!!!
so we fire it up again and its making this horrible noise (when i fitted the deplux timing chain cover i didn't knock out the lump that sticks in and the timing chain is hitting on there DOH!!!!
oh well it runs loveryly

so then we eventually found the orignal air filter, stuck in a new eliment and put that one
then put the grille on

and then it went from this:

to :

DOORS!!!
whoop whoop
even better doors that lock and open, and close, LOVERY!!!!!
tomorrow is fit the seats, windows, doorcards and handles, then the fillet in the front screen, then TEST DRIVE, then seal the rest of the windows, and other bits and bobs!!! WHOOPWHOOP

so the seats
i started these in january - i'm really ashamed to say, and i have only just finished them
ok, so i know the sky is a back to original spec mini, all original BUT and its a big but, the standard seats are sOOOOO uncomftable, and to be honest i can't live with them.....
so 2 sets of covers from original sky/rose seats + one set of SPI seats equals

It's gone from bits and bobs being paint to a complete car in 60 seconds!
That's an amazing thing in itself but when you roll in the quality of the work you've done. Very, very impressive!
I bet you can't wait to get behind the wheel
