Love the exhaust!

have you got tyres for your lovely wheels yet!?

i've had the tyres for over a year, but i havent had them mounted yet. i'm on vacation this week so i might have time to get it done. still need to buy some short lug nuts to fit under the hubcaps...

ok, i've been pondering which dash panel to use ever since i started this project. first i made a mold & copies of a 6 gauge inno dash, thought of using that for a while, then thought of cutting up just the gauge part of the dash and use that, in front of the driver instead of centered. then i thought of using a carbon weasel center pod, then i thought of going for a black rookie dash pannel. later i wanted to make my own fiberglass design...

then i saw the acewell gauge and thought, how about no dash at all?

so, when finished, the parcel shelf will be all covered up, and i'll have a small 3 gauge pod for fuel/oil pressure/temp possibly underneath the shelf.

Just read your thread from the start, you have a great eye for detail, shame the paint & door/'A' panel has been messed up, i hope you get something sorted on that.
Good luck with the rest of it.

took a bunch of steps backward again, striped the interior out so it doesnt get damaged. the car is going back to the body shop to get the paint finally done right. wont take it back until i'm 100% satisfied with it. Quick tip when you get your car painted; take at least half an hour to look around the shell at the body shop with the painter before taking it back home. then once its at your place, wash it down and look over every inch of it, lay every piece (doors etc) next to the body to be sure the colors match. take time to do this before starting to bolt things on it. my main problem was that i started to put it back together and started to notice weird things later. i should of brought it back at the shop before doing anything to it. live and learn!

anyway, i wont be posting back on this thread much until later next summer. i'm moving back in an apartment for a year, while i build my dream house, which mean the mini will be on hold until the garage is built!

cheers!

Quick update: i've seen the paint guy this monday, the A-Panel is fixed, the door is adjusted, they fixed a couple other stupidities and they'll be able to paint the car after the xmas break. Seems the paint color problem was because of the new Waterbased paint (or the painter's lack of experience with said paint).

on a different subject, does anybody have a part number for an inline water valve? i thinks the SPIs used some...

happy holidays!

looks great mart as always! the dash is cool i wouldn't cover up the parcel shelf, i would leave it as a massive shelf for putting things on! lol

Edit: glad the paint is sorted!
