spent most of yesturday stripping the water pump, fitted the new one, to find the alternator was fubared the pully moved like an egg and was nackered
so i phoned tom and mini sport and got the alternator later that day, then finsihed refitting the water pump and filled with red coolant

then i came to start fitting the new pads, took the drivers caliper off and fired out and old pistons and fitted the stainless ones from my old caliper with new seals, fitted up with new mintex 1144 pads and started the goodrich hoses which i might add were a b***ard to fit and made me use more than one choice word took 40 tools to try and get it off 4 of the neighbours tools and ended with an angle grinder but got it sorted, i then had to cut off the old brake hose, and started fitting the new pads on the other side, the shocks were fitted to

Then started with the new alternator which went easy enough, the new nut for the drive shaft had to wait, I then stone chipped all the inner arches, under neath and the engine bay, was 11pm by this point so i took out the relay which was there for the inertia starter as this was pointless which the car having an pre engage starter, I then cleaned the water jets out
then this morning i got a taxi to woodfeild garage got the new union put on where i had to cut the brake hose, I then got the taxi home again and started fiting the hose to find the cooper washers for the banjo bolt were dead this was after i bled the hole system

so cycled tto throthite motor cycles and got some new wahers then back home and refitted the banjo bolt, then borrowed a 36mm socket from the neighbour as i only had a 30mm gunned on the new nut and fitted the split pin, cleaned the discs and bleed the system again, i then changed the cluthc fluid, and touched up some of the stone chip that the brake fluid washed away
then re adjusted the rear drums, refitted the wheels painted under the back lowered the car refitted the bonnet and gril and reversed out of the garage the fan and alternator are soooo much better now its un true i also remove the cold air feed as i broke it hahaha
then my mum turned up with my new type 8 rev meter

i was a happy bunny tested in the coil first and worked great so i took the dash out ran the wire to the coil, redid the dash board as the last attempt was pooooo

I then refittted the dash with new rev meter and gave the car a lil clean and took for a spi
n, went to mini sport as i owed tom some coolant for dropping me the alt and nut off and got some new ht/ lt leads as mine was nackered on lead 3
Fitted in the car park and went for a spin ..........
HAPPY ISNT THE WORD /......
