Well, I'm off to cover myself in after-sun again. I managed to burn myself even though I had factor 30 lotion on :(

Thanks again all! ;)

(Nice siggy, RoboGib :D)

(And, a double mattress into a small tent DOES go. :D)

Oh my ruddy word, what a fantastic weekend :D

I won't do individual thank yous as I stink to high heaven, am burnt to a crisp, have an appointment with a luxury toilet and am seriously in need of food (except an individual one for Simon - Vern was most happy with his special order of pads, thanks so much for doing that! :D ). You people are flipping brilliant, thank you ;)

Welcome, nice to put some more names to faces!

If anyone wants me today, I'll be asleep at my desk for the next few hours.......

Was an excellent weekend! Saturday morning was mainly taken up by having our photos taken with various random strangers and other people constantly shouting "who ya Gonna Call...Ghostbusters"! Was a laugh anyway.
Was nice to meet up with some of the old faithfuls and also to put a few faces to a few names. Didn't spend that much really as has a specific shopping list and did not deviate from it.
The Official TMF Camp was just inside the main gate for IMM and was a great spot to pitch up, everyone staying there defintely made the weekend for me!

Oh and just for Charlie !!

Can you sign my hat please Russ.

Its a bit gays isn't it!

had a bit of a festival feel rather than just a mini show n that was good! even tho i didnt speak to the foregners they seemed to bring something else, maybe the flags? maybe the mini's (which i must say seemed mostly very good condition which i found good!)
like others im now thinking about going to IMM-germany next year, just got to think about money

The weekend was good our mix of classic and new was well meet with people, but there were some bad pionts that we were not happy with as a club and to many others we talked to.
1-The toilets were bad the ones at the top of the field were all blocked up by sat nite, even thou they were pumped there was no water as he had gone home.
2- no water for hours thank god morrisions was down road
3-members of the public were walking on to the site from the top end, were were told that it was to be closed off but it wasnt, this is not right as they were getting in for free!! and we had paid £55.
4-Lack of info were were told nothing no one seemed to know anything there was nothing in the programme we were given. Not until sunday that we were offered a promgramme for £2 which had the times in a bit bloody late for that.
5-IMM crew we saw no one walking around maybe to far for them to come up the hill.
6-Security there was none we had local gits driving around the top by us shouting abuse at us at high speeds as the gate was open all weekend and on sat local teens drinking heavy near club stands making us not want to move in case the cars were damaged or items stolen from ours tents, we did inform some one about it but they were to busy in the beer tent to do things about it!
7-IMM/Mini50-told this was a separte show with mini 50 tickets not getting access to the imm but this was not so as they could wonder around, if this was known to me before hand i could of stayed at home on gone on both days for less money.
But despite this the whole weekend was great would not of missed it, well done to the birmingham mini owners for there hard work and show.
Good to see the anti new mini crap is dying down about time.

Well! I would like to extend my thanks to the TMF Campsite people for being so welcoming to a lost newbie, and being such overwelmingly good company over the weekend all of you!
Having been to very little in terms of proper mini meets, IMM 2009 blew me away with the sheer amount of shiny & interesting things to look at, activities and stuff to do. Certainly I lost most of my saturday daytime trawling the autojumbles and trade stands for the needed bits I wanted, and drooling over the newly wanted bits I didn't know I needed
I'm very happy to say the pet ran a lot better with the newly fitted bits, and noticably consumed less fuel (not on a recovery truck that is!) returning home through the A roads, I'd had enough of the M40 logjam on the way up!!

That BH2N soundtrack was very pleasing to my drunken ears (thanks vern) and still can't get that dancing bear tune out of my head.. any cures anyone apart from, perhaps, sobriety?
Finding a new talent is always a joy, but spotting the difference between cans of beer from a distance might get me into trouble haha

Take care all..

I was there!
Bumped into Luna Mini in the breakfast queue this morning.

We camped with the Thames Valley MC lot, but then it WAS just me and the kids and I reconed the TMF camp *might* be a little more raucous. Ahem.

I spent a 'few' quid on a super-duper rain cover which means that the glass can now come out of the project mini.
I also had a good chat with the Somerford guys about the right way to go about the panel replacement that I'm doing next.

All in all, a good one.

Some pics:

We made it without breaking down! (Well, OK, we ran out of fuel, but I blame the non-working sender!)

Will upload the rest overnight.

Hi, thanks again for the offer of the convoy on the way up on the friday, it's a shame the motorway traffic let us down!
When wandering around some of the massive campsite area I stumbled upon the empty TVMC area, looks like your club had a good spot.
Enjoyed our phone call during the show and from the sounds and looks of things, your kids had a great time!
Might pop along to a local TVMC meet one of these times to say hello. Cheers!
