everything is pretty much on hold awaiting return of front subframe from MRA minis, which is now 9 weeks late, but thats 9 weeks late from assembly, the actual brakes, hubs and highly specialised parts they are doing were already 4 months late in January.

It'll be astounding when it finally comes, and people will freak out, but every week there seems to be an issue of sorts, and its really, really causing us problems and unbearable delays now.

:proud:

calipers in due course, Martin wants to fit them once we finished with mounting the frame, sorting bodywork, installing engine, and he can then do a 4 wheel laser alignment.

well, all being well, sub frame is going on tomorrow, it'll stand on its wheels for the first time, and calipers are coming for installation on Tuesday :( big fat and nasty six pots compliments of MRA minis that will hopefully make it stand on its nose

steelwork will commence again in 3 weeks time - commitments with other things mean its had to go on the back burner a little, but with sub frame back there is no reason or excuse to not crack on as soon as time permits now.

alexcrosse finishes Uni in May, and will be coming in to build the engine up as soon as he's sobered up , and I think some major progress will be seen from that point on. >_<

with an estimated 300bhp, we're going to need it - hence the chunkiness of everything going into the front end, and also why we're going full steel front - we need as much strength as possible.
The turbo brake rig on the cabriolet is OK, but at 160-ish WBHP its just about on the limits of its capabilities, so I wanted this to be as good as it could be, so we've gone for the maximum size we feasiblly can what with the 14" wheels, and MRA were the only firm that could supply a rig of this nature - Even KAD's 6 pot type B conversion couldnt give us what we wanted, but this solution from martin looks as though it will be just perfect.

front wheels dont appear to protrude quite enough, may look better tomorrow once its not floating, but already suspecting we need another 30mm on each side :ermm:

Not sure how I've missed this! Nice attention to detail, and good to see a bit of imagination and fresh ideas. The BINI dash seems to fit very well! looks very in keeping to the whole look too. Keep up the great work :P
