Im quite pleased with it although I have now decided it wont be going on. On friday when I get paid I will order a new set of panels for the front and when their on I will get a fiberglass mk1 bonnet instead. It will save wait and fit alot better as this ones twisted and is in a pretty bad way. It wont be wasted though. If we get all this snow thats been forecasted then I will use it was a sled lol.
These have also come today.

I only have one on my mini at the moment with the other head light just being screwed in to the wing panels. They only cost me 99p of ebay with a few quid postage so I'm happy. Im gonna clean them up drill the hole out I need for the sidelight and paint them black ready to go on with the new panels.
I'v also started ordering a few new bits for my new engine such as an oil filter, silicone ht leads and spark plugs. Just need a few other bits like a fuel filter and then the stage 2 kit then I'll be ready to start the rebuild on the engine. Im seeing the guy with the engine tonight so I'm gonna arrange to go and collect it hopefully sometime this week. I'll get some more pictures as things start to arrive.
Thanks.
Jon.

keep it up
Cheers I'll try my best but with this bad weather it may take sometime. I never did get to see the guy with the engine cause of the weather so we will have to see when I can pick it up at a later date. I sure hope the bad weather doesn't hold the post up to much as I want all my new parts to arrive lol.
Cheers.

Just read the whole thing, its coming on really well mate
Thanks. Yea its not coming along to badly. Its just really annoying when I fix one thing and 2 others brake. Just puts me further away from doing things like the engine and panels.
I also forgot to add that the new engine will have an electronic ignition as well. Been told by our club mechanic that its the way to go and will make it alot more reliable.

I'm still waiting for quite a few bits to come though the post but because of the weather they haven't come.

Today I also ordered an electronic ignition to go on my new engine. I'm also thinking of ordering a new set of front panels as well but am still unsure if I should get the ones I posted a while back of ebay.

No jonny thats £700 insurance at 17 with stage one in my own name.
You wont get a decent finish on your bonnet with a can
get some porper spray gear and go to paint shop products in tadley four your paint. get proper stuff. Youve seen my roof and that
I spoke to you dad and he said he had put it on your mums insurance and the way you could prove it wasn't your main car is because you have you bike in you name lol. I can't be assed with proper spray gear. I just playing around to see how the finish came out. When the new front end is on and I'v put and the fiberglass boot and bonnet on and re-skinned my drivers door the whole car will be re-sprayed anyway.
Yeah its in my Mums name at the moment and its £450 at the moment. In my own name they quoted me £700 fully comp

I seeeeeee. The reason mine is so expensive is cause of all the engine mods. which I'll be taking off anyway. That and for my access I had to payout the first £50 or something stupid like that so that made it more expensive. I'm hoping with the new engine and the brakes and 10" wheels Mine should be around £1000 with 1 NCB. And if necessary I'll do Pass Plus.
