You really think you made the right desision dont you.
That's the worrying thing.
Cars with non-functioning brakes DO kill people.
Quick correction for you Ouster...

i think the reason the bolts came out if cause i used copper grease on them so this was clearly a stupid thing to do but the garage i once worked at i was adviced this was always the best option clearly i was told wrongly
On a serious note, and trying to help, how did you tighten them?
Use a very small amount of copperslip, (very small), and tighten with a torque wrench to 50Nm. (Tighter then you can manage with a normal ratchet).
Make sure you tighten the flange bolt properly too, setting in your Haynes.
Take your time when rebuilding the brakes, note if things have shifted lots you may need to rebleed the system to get them back to tip-top performance.

but the point remains at the time i had no idea it was the brake i though the shock has collapsted
"So i keep going and as i aproach the lights and start slowing down the front wheel locks and the car screeched to a halt. I then tried to set off and the car wouldnt move like i was anchored, so i had to floor it to make the car move. I keep going and it locks again as i slow down, I pulled over but couldn't see anything. I kept going and the same thing happened this anothwer 8 times"
Really.
Would you like a JCB for your hole sir?
