Email your complaints to customer.information@mini.co.uk unless you can come up with a better bmw/Bini email address. Perhaps they should put an old 3 series bmw on the seesaw!!

It would take me just under 7 hours to get there :P

I would have thought they would have been able to get more than £2k if they sold that mini on eBay for example? I would love to know who owned it before them! GRRR!

If the Min's not for sale, I wonder what else they could offer that's better all in value? Anyone up for the challenge of convincing the salesman he wants to buy a proper Mini?

Anyone that calls should make sure they know you are calling to complain, not just register interest in the Mini, as otherwise they might think it has become a great marketing tool to raise interest in their dealership!

Or it will get you cut off in extra quick time.

Be truthful and tell them you've seen a car on the forecourt you're interested in. once they realise it gets them more attention than sales enquiries for cars they want to sell they might have a change of heart.

Also a good point! Maybe your right - if they think its a genuine enquiry, then it wastes their time until they realise its the old one... If you phone up and complain, then they just say bla bla, put the phone down and have a laugh.

Think I'm back to going for the enquiry route....

I think either way they are unlikely to change it, unfortunately. As they say all publicity is good publicity, and it is getting their dealership talked about all over the internet. Granted a lot of people are not happy with them, but they are probably not people who would buy a Bini anyway, so to them it is probably just free exposure :P

If it transpires they organised a trade in of £2000 on a car that would have made more in a quick private sale, I for one would wonder if they can be trusted to offer you the best deal.

Whatever exposure it is giving them it will not be the right kind. I for one will no longer be a Bini customer and I'm sure I won't be the only one! It may help the dealer sell a few cars but it will cost Mini UK a lot more in lost future sales.

To be fair to the dealership does any one actually know if this mini really was traded in for the scrappage allowance?

It might be a borrowed mini from some one as they want to keep the mini theme on the forecourt rather than have an old nova or something...

In 6weeks it may be taken off the stand and given back to it's owner to keep using if you know what i mean?! It doesn't look in bad condition really!

But... If they have taken it as trade in and they are going to crush it i will be very angry!!

i dont care how far it is, if we are going to have a protest i will nag my parents untill i can come!

I'd be jsut as *drunk* off if any company did that, never mind BMW.

There used to be only one way i would buy a Bini, (I will only buy it if they put a rolls royce badge on it, Its as much a rolls royce as it is a mini after all :P )
Now i wont buy one.

If someone near there printed off MURDERER, one letter per page, and bluetacked it to the side of the car, i dont think they would do anything, and it would get the message across.

That makes about as much sense as trading in and scrapping a Da Vinci against a Damien Hirst.

It does seems a pretty crass way of advertising the scrappage scheme, probably thought up by some slimmy spotty faced sales exec at the dealership as a joke.

I would hope that no self respecting mini owner would ever consider putting a real mini through the scrappage scheme against a Bini regardles of its value.

The scheme is a joke anyway as most manufacturers have been ramping up their OTR prices prior to the scheme starting anyway The Government will have consulted the manufacturers for a good while before even mentioning the scrappage scheme in public thus giving time to ease their prices up to take into account the amazing savings they now offer if you trade in a banger
