its at santa pod. yeh sould be fun... buts is expensive lol :D payed off my engine but still lots more bits to come like, rad, oil cooler, filters, some gauges, fan, exhaust system, got a avonbar downpipe (2") which then opens the 2-3/4" right to the back. the list just goes on haha.

yea ill defo be goin that, its usc the week before too so ill be comin up the sunday to go back down the following weekend haha. but it'll be worth it. ive got an oil cooler to go on too. i need to get my gauges order pretty sharp ish as im designing my dash now lol. im just concerned on how to get a filter on my turbo, its such a tight squeeze to get anything to it, and you will struggle connecting the oil return pipe unless your doing it when the engines out..... we shall have to meet up at pod if your there. im gona run mine down the strip hopefully, im really curious to see what it does timewise.

well more progress

brought myself this

Posted Image

and built this pretty much all up with my new brakes i got abit ago and my reconned hubs, towing eyes and brake lines curtosy of mra

Posted Image

all it needs now is the 2 spikey washers for the subframe to brake line nuts (this is why the copper line looks a bit wonkey as it isnt finally fitted yet just placed for now). and 1 bolt for the brake line on the left caliper, oh and 1 more flange bolt lol.

its all in now but i forgot to take pictures of this major step

i also got the remains of my centre dash today at himley (2 early type vents, the black dash surround with vent holes and the dash floor if you can call it that, got 1 cooper ashtray and 1 non cooper ashtray, couldnt resist as the non cooper one was only pence lol. and also got a 4 clock (52mm) braket complete with 4 clocks for the grand sum of a tenner, so i chucked the 4 old clocks away and started to spray it up body color. i will get pictures of all this as soon as i place it in.

im getting there, just about ready for my engine now. =]

well. heres a very small taster of the engine :P:

Posted Image

130mph centre clocks are now in bar the bottom bit. however the photo is aweful lol, i must get a better camera. (how scary are those wires tho  ):

Posted Image

clocks face left slightly as iff they are from a left hooker but ive been told by 2 people now a centre binacle is a centre binacle, there is no right of left handed... oh and if anyone has a spare mk1 heater lying around please pm me so i can swapsie or buy it ;)

and heres the confirmations he's back on his wheels, riding high and waiting for the new lump :o :

:) wooop, thinking i may get the spray cans on it some time soon. ;)

remember i mentioned i got the diall pod from himley with 4 dials for a tenner well...

the 4 dialls got binned:

Posted Image

and the pod got stripped down and sprayed up, from a crusty old thing to this (body coloured to match the top dash rail):

Posted Image

and with 2 of the dialls stategically placed:

Posted Image

this will be getting self tapped directly behind the wheel as im ditching the ally one i made. got a fuel preesure guage on order through mra and am yet to decide wether the 4th hole will be a landba or an ammeter. :dontgetit:

its nice when you start to see progress :)

Glad to see its back on its wheels Rick, beats having to pick the front up and move it around like a wheel barrow.
Omega pistons ,low compression niceness.

yes. i got big entusuiasm now its on its wheels. might do some body work if its dry this weekend.

11cc pistons with 28cc's in the head. lots of low comp niceness haha.

my plenum is currently away with john flan getting modified to ic fitment and dv takeoff.

engine has a slight delay through a small problems with a waterway when being bored, not too big a problem tho as another block is now getting bored, im not bothered as things like this happen :o its all part of the game.

the wheel barrowing was aweful lol, i could never work on the car on my own unless i wanted to do just one side lol. i had a stand back and look moment earlier where i just looked at it for at least 20 minutes thinking "yep its getting there" lol
