before anyone comments on how dull it is its because i havnt laquered it yet. thats a job for another time. ;)

well its all one colour now:

then i fitted my little diall pod, steering column bracket (the sheer bolt was a bugger to get out!) and connected a few wires, so its now looking like this:

magic box arrived today, its a V4 under the box.

will be mounting it somewhere on/in the dash to keep it from the weather. bonus is its looks nice, so needs to be shown :D

now i just need to learn about megajolt. thinking this will be a steep learning curve.

Can I ask how much you paid for it?

Im trying to work out wether to bid on an ecu on ebay or just buy a new one.

Also, what trigger wheel are you using?

payed 140 for it with the mounting brackets and the cable for the computer. which isnt mega cheap but not too bad for what it is. you can get new ones for around the same price.

not sure what trigger wheel im using yet. but it has been ordered. next time i pop into mra ill find out for you :D

ive been reading up on it and it really isnt as complicated as i thought it would be.

Sounds good yeah. I think im just going to buy a new one. I was scared of it, but been reading loads about it. Shouldn't be too hard.

Yours sounds good, I missed the spec, what turbo will you be using?

Because im building a 1380 turbo at the moment, would be good to compare them, will you be at MITP?

yess will be at mitp, so will be nice to compare to other minis, especially other turbo's (fingers crossed)

its got a fully worked head, 28cc chambers, larger sodium filled exhaust valves, and also larger decent inlet valves, all full ported and worked.

block is A+ bored to 1380 (matched to pistons)

omega 11cc dished pistons, on standard a+ turbo rods but lightened and balanced

reground, cross drilled harded crank

avonbar phase 2 cam

new followers

new vandervall bearings (not sure if thats how you spell it)

kent adjustable lightweight duplex cam timing kit

billet aluminuim flywheel

billet ally backplate

helical gearbox with something uprated layshaft (dont know the exact details on this mod)

straight cut drop gears

cross pin diff

uprated clutch etc

2.9 FD

kent double valvesprings

braded turbo oil feed

2 core rad with hot climate fan and spi electric fan

oil cooler

land rover intercooler

running a t3 with enlarged elbow, which goes into an avonbar 2" downpipe and then open to 2.75" all the way to the back.

megajolt etc... lots of other little bits and bob but i cant remember the exact down to detail spec (i will however do my best to find out all the sizes and details etc) all being built by MRA minis.

will be getting it dynoed and planning to run it at whatever boost get me 140bhp. im guessing around 12-14 psi?

this is a useful megajolt linky:

http://www.autosport...egaJolt_Lite_Jr.

:D

cant wait now.

intercooler is a landrover freelander tdi unit i got for pennies. im hoping itl fit infront of the engine as i wont have a dizzy, mounting it on a custom ally braket i will make with loads of ally offcuts i managed to aqquire from work.

its a decent size intercooler, and its all ally so its well built.

:D

with help from martain at mra (who also polished the dashpot and gave me lots of tips and info on doing the carb etc, which is very apreciated :( ) i dismantled the carb and then took the main bits home for a clean:
