If the panels dont arrive before Easter, I plan to start making my dashboard and finish putting the engine back together during the two weeks I've got.

Picked up some 5mm thick plywood today, for my dashboard of course.

& these came in the post, the seal for the gearbox.. so I can now get that back together & I found an old style retro looking cigarette lighter on ebay, means I can use a satnav, hands free.. whatever. Really pleased with this, I know it's not the most amazing of things
I need to work out what gauges & switches I will be wanting and start sketching some rough layouts down.

Ha yeah.. about that.. I placed the order, but didn't expect it to go through.. because of my overdrafts and such. But it's on it's way
I've put a thread in the wanted section of a few websites, but if anyone reads this, I'm after any period/retro bits for dashboards. Toggle switches, switch extensions, map light etc.. so if you've got any, in any condition, as long as they are working. Let me know

Bulkhead box & reverse switch arrived.
Also a package from Mini Sport.. was sent to Dads work though. Funny I ordered £400 worth of panels, and a whole boot floor including the battery box and only a shoe box sized package turned up
So I'll be ringing them up tomorrow and chasing them.

Haha yeaah man I saw your status. If they mess me around I'll put up a thread here and have hundreds of people read it and steer away from Mini Sport. I'll see how things go!
Do it, ill be right with you homeslice
let us know how it goes when you call them, they are normally great with returns (which i never bother doing, its too annoying). and they said they will swap it over etc etc. but oh well.
want to see the panels of love soon

What's the bulkhead box for? Turbo?!
Of course

The shoe box full of panels from Mini Sport..

Inside of the timing cover stripped with Nitromors, still some paint left but nothing to worry about.

Oil seal in situe.

Etched and sprayed some of the bits for the Gear selector housing, couldn't get it put back together because of..

This is what is left of my old reverse light switch, never worked whilst she was on the road. Can't think of any way of getting it out.. any pointers?

Gearbox cleaned up, gaskets and seal in place.

Setting it down, did this 3-4 times.. just to make sure everything was in place and lined up.

Tappet chest covers on, with new seals, washers & bolts.

Clutch in between bit washed out of metal filings from the wire brush, ready to be bolted back.
