Didn't want to start seeing the Halfords spray start flaking off in due time.

Started off with a close call

Oh tested the light too, it all works

Hubs cleaned, etched and sprayed up. Apologies for the poor last photo.

Rad surround and top sprayed up, really pleased with this

& started on tidying up the dizzy.
Not much more I can do really, until I buy some bits from Himley Hall.

What are you planning on getting from Himley? Gonna try and get the 7.5" setup again?

It'll just be small bits like a flywheel bolt, gaskets, bolts for the engine etc.. so I can get that off the table and covered up ready for reuniting it with the subframe. Also started getting things out of the cupboards for the front subframe, so any bushes and bolts for that too.
Basically I want to get the engine on the floor, and the front subframe on the table.

Rockers off.

The offending article, long stud nearest the timing chain side.

One new stud, nut and everything torqued up correctly.. back to normal.
Yadda yadda, another boring update
Hopefully will come home with bags of small things on Sunday

Yeah I'm really really enjoying it! I'm making the same mistake over and over again, which is not realising I need certain bits.. I put that down to the fact I've never restored a classic car before
Learning tricks and tips all the time, picking up skills etc.. can't wait to get this one finished and move onto the next project, whatever that might be.

& my goodies, maybe I lied about being skint

Rear valance.

- 'Wiggly pins' for the top arms.
- Bolts for the thermostat.
- Clutch flywheel bolt.
- Ball joint kits x2, for both the front hubs.
- Bearing kits x2, for the front hubs.

Annnnnnnnnnd
Disc brake conversion kit to go from 12" to 10"! pins and screws are missing, but he said he'd get them in the post tomorrow
Unfortunately I'm going back for Uni tomorrow for hopefully my last two weeks, then I'll be home for good over Summer and I can get moving

This one particularly caught my eye aswell, thought the interior was gorgeous, pretty much how I want mine to turn out.
Too bad I didnt see you at the show, would have been good to have a chat but maybe next time.
