You'll be able to get the GB's on now. Nice work!

I've just read your whole project, instead of revising for my end of year exams, also a first year at uni although I have another week and abit left. I'm loving your project so far and please keep up the good work. I know how it feels to have a big garage for the wet days and I still need to start a project log of my mini but I'm waiting till summer before I properly get into it. I'm thinking of doing the drums to brakes conversion and I have yet to find out but what do you do with the servo? do you just leave it or does it need changing or removing?

Erm, just wondering what size your GB wheels were because in the pictures they look 12" which would of meant the 8.4" disc would of fitted but then I'm probs wrong but was just wondering..
Have you considered having the centre clocks as your dash as your trying to go for the retro look and then if you want speakers put them where the air vents are as thats what i'm going to be doing most likely.
thanks..

Hey mate :dontgetit:

First of all cheers for reading my project! ;)

I myself haven't done the drums to disc conversion, so I'm unsure. I'd post something up in the technical section if I was you ;) & my GBs are 10" so the discs I'm downsizing to are 7.5".

& as for the speakers.. don't you worry about that ;) I've got something planned, I basically want to keep both the air vent and my sound system. So the air vents will be going there as normal, and I will make something else for the speakers & headunit.

Yeah get a project thread up, I'll look forward to reading it! ;)

I've got to get my headunit back from my girlfriend :P installed it in her KA for her!

Probably be a good idea to get my mini on the road first? ;)

But I want to get things like that done over summer whilst I've got the time, inc. the dashboard & cutting holes in the FG front for my lights etc..

Unpacking everything from Uni at the moment, will be out there tomorrow :)

Verto bolt on and torqued.

Put the cap on the clutch, then the wok, washer and bolts.

Posted Image

Then lifted and moved the shell over, to make space for the engine. Hooked it all up and hoisted it down.

Posted Image

This then meant I had space on the table to start getting my front subframe together.

Bits & bobs.

The start of something wonderful :-

Also started on the hubs, bearings need replacing.. which I'm half way through doing now. & the ball joints need doing too.

Sold those MK1 lights on ebay for £50, so I'll get a Mini Spares order in for about the same amount, seems fair :)

Dad is away walking at the moment, but when he's back I'll get him to talk to our friend in the village and sort the plasma cutter.
