Is this even a fair comparison knowing the basic differences of the governments?

Being that one of the soldiers that died was one of my best friends i would hate to see this march happen and if they do i hope they get mobbed and sent away.

I've been to Wooton Basset, i saw my friends coffin drive by, i will always remember that day so what more will it take for this act to be stopped, cant they see that this places means a lot to many people.

Im sorry but if you want to do a demostration, then do it in your own country

just because someone is a muslim doesnt make them a foreigner, thats like saying all black people are foreigners.

and yes some of them are from other countrys and do sponge off our system but im sure some of the people that will be going on the march protest thing are born and bred british but just have a different religion.

but i do agree that they shouldnt be protesting in wooton basset but out side of no.10 or some were on a political stance so that there can not be any chance of our servicemen and women having there names and reputations being dragged through the dirt.

people do have a right to say what they wont when they wont. people cant stop you talking unless you are inciting some illegal.

They should be alowd to do the march, just not in WB. As long as its done properly they are entitled to do it, but it has to be done properly and peacefully.

i think its quite a good comparison

although in Britain they would just be banned from doing it, and then maybe arrested if they did actually do it.

In afganistan under a taliban government you would probably be severly beaten for thinking it, mutilated for speaking about it, and even shot dead if you ever tried it.

So basically i dont feel its harsh for this country to just say NO to the extremist group marching through a spiritual and sacred place.

I just hope if the government do bow down to these extremists, then stringent security checks are made. I would hate for it to turn out they basically authorised another terrorist attack, especially at Wooton Bassett

Nope, I didn't because I am good friends with many people who are from many different religious backgrounds (including muslims) and they are hard working. This is another problem with stupid protests like this-all of the muslims (most of which I am sureare hard working honest people) are painted with the same brush

Do you moan when the postal workers go on strike for not getting enough money, so you don't get your post.

Would you moan if the BA cabin crew strike had ruined your holiday as they wern't getting enough money.

Would you have moaned if you had to get a leg ampoutated after having a car crash as the Froces were covering for the fire service who were on strike for not getting enough money.

All of the above examples KNEW what they were getting when they decided to to do that job.


I joined the RAF as I wanted to help the country, help the people. As I said in a previous post on this thread, 99.99% of Afghani deaths that occur do so because of suicide attacks and blood fueds. The other 0.01% are Taliban that die during conflict. I've been there several times so know what i'm talking about.

I also Live near Wootton Bassett and have seen too many people being brough back. Go and see a re pat then come back and tell me it didn't bring you to tears. It does me everytime. The place has become sacred to the families of the fallen due to the massive amount of respect shown by the locals. For this march to happen would be like them having to loose there loved ones all over again.

Im talking about radical extremists, these people hate the weston world, in particular America and the UK, so I dont think they are going to want to help our country, they are going to sponge of us for everything we have got. Besides they are too busy organising extremist groups and orgianising terrorism, yes there are some genuine muslims out there and most genuine muslims are backing the facebook group, but these radicals hate our country and to them its just bad luck they was born here. We are now one of the top countrys for radicalising muslim people for terrorism, this is not a demostration its an act of strength for the radicals, they are saying to us that we cant beat them, they might aswell bypass wooton Basset and jump on our fallen soldiers grave!

Im sorry if my views upset people, but I have a lot of support for our Troops, they go out and risk their lives, they cant choose where to go and serve, they join the army to protect our country and to serve.

This town is sacred to british service personel and holds the same value a mosque does to someone of the muslim faith or any other site of cultural significance for anyone of any faith for that matter

"They" wouldn't like it if a march happens at there place of cultural significance so why can't they mouth off elsewhere whether its (supposably) peaceful of not!

I have mixed opinions on this. Firstly, I am completely against the march and had alredy signed up to the FB group before this post.

I think that trying to claim Islam is a peaceful religion and then trying to force it on the rest of the World is ridiculous. We are a Christian country and should remain that wayl. If we were in Afghanistan trying to convert them to our religion there would be uproars. But it is because we are a developed country with democracy that we don't do the same things these people do.

However, I think these guys have alredy won. They have received so much press attention and things like this FB group all mean that its what people are talking about. I bet you if everyone in the UK had ignored it all, then it would have gone unnoticed.

Wootton Bassett is a sensitive place as has alreday been stated, and that's exactly why they have chosen here to do the march. In addition to this, there were also plans to tell the families of killed soldiers to save themselves and join Islam. I don't know how true this is, as it is second hand information - I havent checked it out yet. If this is true, that shoulld certainly be stopped.

So although on the one hand I would say stop the march and throw the *melon* out of the country, at the same time its the freedoms that our soldiers fought for in the past that allow this. If you quash the march, is that as disrespectful to the memory of the people that lost their lives? to give us that freedom? If you follow down this path it wont be too long before you live in a state where freedoms are somewhat less than they are now or non-existant.

With regard tp throwing the hate preachers out the country, is it not better to let them stay where we can keep a better eye on them? If I had my way though I would remove them all to somewhere where they have no way of organising a bar crawl let alone organising terror attacks. I do agree they shouldnt be given any bloody money though. Let them live on the streets.

It is all disrespectful and a disgrace. I hope they all make fools of themselves. Or a meteor falls from the sky and crushes them all to death.
