I'm still watching ... don't injure yourself any more before the burn and the bruise have gone ... I get nervous since seeing my neighbour set fire to one of his trainers while welding under the car ... take care! Safety glasses on!

I sound like my grandma :D

this weekends update - Day 42 and 43!!!!

started with rubbing back the filler on the rear quarters and doors and finished off the scuttle corners

Posted Image

Posted Image

WELL happy with them!!!

also flatted back all the filler on the seams

can't remember what else i did

pecks rolled in about 2ish  and flatted back the door steps around the windows and the boot and door shuts

then masked up all the windows doors and boot

Posted Image

and fonzy started priming

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

then we went out on the *yellow human water* :-

met some lovely marines :genius:

LOL

so with out hangovers we got to the garage about 11.30, and it was freezing up there - like proper cold!!! BRRRRR

pecks masked up the underneath at the back for paint/primer and the front ready for stonechipping - which we didn't get round too!!!

i sanding down and refilled the drivers door - its takeing quite a bit of filler to get straight!!!! - it will all be worth it in the end!!!

i then tidied up a bit for some extra storage/painting space.....

and me and woo braved the cold and started rubbing down... apart from pecks not listening to what i'm telling her to do to rub down propery.....

we only got a few bits done - because we fancied a early one, because i start a new job tomorrow and we are both shattered!!!!

any way got the important bits done

rear quarters

Posted Image

Posted Image

scuttles

Posted Image

Posted Image

and door

Posted Image

the other door is still a bit of priming!!!!

Posted Image

then after i laid a nice thoick coat of primer on

Posted Image

excuse the runs!!! FAIL

Posted Image

and the scuttle corners look amazing!!!

Posted Image

Posted Image

we still need to prep the inside of both the doors and the boot, and rub down the other half of the roof, finish fillering the drivers door and A panel and the tops of both apanels and possible the passenger doorsteps where i repaired the rust!! and get all the wibbles out the rear quarters and doors.....

day 48

alas a update.....

It's AMAZING!!! LOL

95% of all the wibbles are all finished now ;)

it hasn't helped that i have been poorly and had to skip 2 nights on the garage ;), but last night we got quite a bit down

finally managed to weld the lip on the bonnet - i'm amazed that i found the lip and found it completely by change when i had given up looking - its been rattling around our house for over 3 years.....

Posted Image

then pecks brought some front seam strips

Posted Image

dad has sorted the horrible door
Posted Image
i don't like this door - its like my drivers door on the sky......

my perfect seams

Posted Image

Posted Image

not that i'm obsessed about them at all!!! LOL

then door and boot

Posted Image

a panels

Posted Image

Posted Image

and rear quarter

Posted Image

the plan for today is to flat everything back with 600 or 800 wet and dry ready for painting tomorrow morning......

the only bit i'm worried about is the drivers A panel which has only had this coat of primer.... it was left in my absence... FAIL!!!

then we gotta find some where to put my amazing door/boot and bonnet stand i made for the sky, mask up the roof and done ready to paint.....

then we would of meet the target of a full rebuild and respary in 7 weeks - we just need to put it all back together then!! LOL

we should get the roof done on Wednesday then have 2 weeks to rebuild it before easter...

day 49......

and my hands a proper wrecked from rubbing down - even made a finger bleed

the highlight of today is me soaking myself (well pecker taking her finger off the heater matrix when i put the air line down the other side!!) lol was soooooooo funny

and Farmer Jon randomly turned up for a chat!! Random!!!!

right so todays progress Woo flatted back the roof rear panel and door shuts with 800 and masked up the car some more......

Fonzy got everywhere ready to paint and made a make shift booth for the door + boot, bonnet stand,

and i flatted back the rear quarters, a panels, wings front panel, doors, boot and bonnet in 400 then 600

so pictures :)

the drivers A panel - i knew it won't come right with only one coat of primer!!! FAIL - so that is now reprimed

Posted Image

my handprint!! LOL
Posted Image

bonnet half flatted

Posted Image

pecks trying to mask the roof with the door open and failling because of the wind!! LOL (it was nice to have the door open we haven't been able to for a couple of weeks because my sisters dead tigra has been there!!!)

Posted Image

then repairing the other masking which had come loose

Posted Image

then doors boot and bonnet hung

Posted Image

Posted Image

i had the doors and boot the other way around in the sky - really doesn't matter tho......

then masked up ready to go!! - pecks actually did more masking than this on the front and had to re do the drivers door, because fonzy fell through it!! LOL

so the plan for tomorrow

me to flat back the a panel and seam strips

Pecks to go over everything with panel wipe

and fonzy to mix the paint

than PAINT!!!! Whoop whoop!!!

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth all the work we have put in over the past few days :dontgetit:
