Today is the only real day off i have in 2 weeks

must have mug written on my head ....... Do i ??? lol
So on my day off today i have done a couple of things i woke up really late, lol like you do.
Once i was out and about i then decided to go and do a few jobs on ze car the first thing i wanted to do was to attach the rear plates of the drums the correct way round, this Meant removing the shoe, hub and then the back plate, on removal of the hub the bearing fell into alot of carp and hay/dust on the floor,
So i then put a plate underneath them so i wouldnt get any thign else mucky, but i removed all the dirt and regreased and then preceeded to get the them swapped over, so they Were the correct way round.

Finished!

Now for the fun stuff of the day i started off with block on my bench looking very grubby and sorry for its self,

After a couple hours cleaning it up and removing various rubbish from the previous gaskets and with a quick attack with a wire brush and a lick of paint i was left with a rather good looking block !

Then i had a brain wave i wanted to look at what the Yellow cylinder head and Black block looked like. (998 head is a tester for colour as i will be buyin a 1275 head)

I really like the colours as they are in the speedwell theme, they match my subframe and also my poly bushes !!!! =WIN

Once i had done this i i then turned my attention to my hubs as i had painted the steering arms and also the nuts and tab washers so they looked the part

Not that im sad

So once they were put on i attached them to the sub frame

Passenger side

Drivers side

Passenger side head on.

Complete subframe

Passenger with yellow Poly

Drivers with poly and subframe bolt

Complete subframe
