Where has it all gone!

The fuse box has gone behind the dash, the alarm (absolute nightmare of bodgery with seven earths) has gone as 'Thatcham approved' isn't applicable here, kept the remote locking though.  A load of wires that went nowhere have been discarded and that's it really, just some nice loom tape. :-)

This is for yesterday

Well the head gasket hadn't gone etc it was just a loose connection on the edis4 grrrrr so got that sorted, took Vini for a rolling road and tune up etc. the needle got changed from an ADP to an AAU and was running sweet so on to the power run!!!

first run he got 56bhp then another couple of runs with Ian @minispeed changing the ignition curve to have a final figure of 65bhp!!! Very happy with that, Ian also fixed an issue with my float bowl sticking open.

And then that afternoon some doesy moo who was I quote "day dreaming" drove in to the back of him at traffic lights grrrrrr

started cutting out the boot floor. Had to remove the rear valence that I had previously fitted - money wasted there !

Bit of a backlog...

2 days ago, bought my first Mini and gave it a little clean.

Yesterday, cleaning, claybaring, polishing.

Today, fitted a radio and pair of rear speakers. More polishing of body and chrome parts. New number plates.

Very happy with my Mini so far. Pics may come soon once its gleaming :D

Finally got round to drilling my rear show plate to fit over the LED bolts, rather than plonking it on the deck.

removed snapped bleed nipples from callipers,

removed all the pistons (not entirely dissimilar to the fairground game whack a mole) last piston took 40BarG to shift

cleaned up the pistons and took out the seals

prepped for painting.

only about several hours cursing was required
