Took it out for a burn again Filled up with fuel and discovered the neck of the fuel tank leaks
Drove back to the shed, drained the tank and affected a repair. Try it again tomorrow.

Got my hazard light switch to illuminate/flash.
Checked and adjusted the valve clearances.
Fixed the vacuum pipes (hopefully)
Started her up, she ran sweet, went to turn her off and she was a bit too eager to stay running and had to be stalled or a wire taken off the ignition coil!
Woo, another thing to investigate hehe

Added red oxide primer to the body around the engine bay with brush, then flatted it all back.Took the rocker cover off to strip and repaint or polish, and noticed to my amazement the the 9/16 nuts on the rockers were a few threads up from being tight, loose as feck.
Surely they are not run loose after a engine rebuild, for a certain amount of time??,previous owner rebuild!!

I think getting the rubber gaiter round the neck of the fuel tank on an estate must be about the biggest ******* of a job on a mini! 2 hours faffing and it's 'nearly' on.
Got the camber and cater angles 'in the ballpark' until I get to my mate's lovely flat power-screeded garage floor to finalise

Drove it to work! First time in 5 months Handling much improved, steering lightened loads, lovely 'plush' ride, apart from a few teething niggles all is good
