Came home to see the front panel around where the grill goes all rusted over after I cleaned it to bare metal yesterday. I hate rain.

Replaced gear selector bobbins on my sons road car. What a difference!

And greased rear swing arms.

I cleaned out the spray room, repainted the walls and got fixed the lights last week. Today I got the Mini in a masked it all up, hopefully it'll be in colour by lunch tomorrow.

Carried a ton of soil from my mates to my house.  5 trips at 5 bags a trip, the joy of an estate :D

Got a spare set of keys cut, also bought some jubilee clips (1 of which was too big, it works but I'll replace it with the proper size) for the radiator hoses. Also bought a rivet gun and riveted the grille surround to the grille itself.

I did the final bit of prep on my Mini so that dad could paint it today, it's looking shinny.

Well the other day I made a nice little piggyback loom for my aux fuse box. Today I got some braided sleeve come in the post so I thought I would make another but with braided sleeving to make it look a little nicer. Worst idea ever.

Nothing went right, all the crimp connections were good but getting the heat shrink and the braid to stay in place and not bugger up the wire insulation was a nightmare. So I'm going to make a bog standard one again without sleeving. I just won't look at that part of the engine bay when I open the bonnet.

On the plus side, at least I have all the parts to relieve the extra stress I have put on the standard loom :D

Added another shim between the teardrop mount and took off the thermostat housing to replace the gasket as it was leaking.
